1. No guarantees
Minifigure Scanner uses artificial intelligence to identify toy minifigures from photographs. We make no guarantees, representations, or warranties — express or implied — about the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any identification, description, value estimate, or other information produced or presented by the service.
2. AI limitations
AI models can make mistakes, misinterpret visual features, or produce inaccurate results (commonly referred to as "hallucinations"). The AI may identify the wrong figure, theme, or variant altogether, invent a figure ID or set number, misstate release years, rarity, or history, or describe something that is not in the photo at all. Photographs alone are often insufficient to distinguish visually similar figures, variants, and reproductions, and lighting, angle, focus, scale, and background all affect what the model can see.
3. User responsibility
You are solely responsible for how you use identification results and any other information on Minifigure Scanner. Always verify important details independently — through official catalogs, established collector databases, or an experienced dealer — before relying on them for any decision.
4. Not authentication
An identification is never a confirmation that a figure is genuine, complete, original, or unmodified. The AI cannot reliably distinguish official figures from reproductions, custom prints, or figures assembled from mixed parts. Never use Minifigure Scanner to decide whether a figure is authentic, and use a qualified third party for anything you plan to buy, sell, or insure.
5. Not safety advice
Identifications must never be used to judge whether a toy or any part of it is safe for a child. Minifigures and their accessories contain small parts that can be a choking hazard, and the AI cannot assess the age suitability, condition, or material safety of any item. Follow the manufacturer’s age guidance and supervise young children.
6. Not professional advice or appraisal
Nothing produced or presented by Minifigure Scanner constitutes a professional appraisal, valuation, authentication, grading, investment, tax, or legal advice. Value estimates are AI-generated approximations for general guidance only. Actual prices depend on condition, completeness, provenance, and market demand, and can change quickly.
7. User-provided information
Identifications may rely on photographs and notes submitted by users. We do not verify user-provided information, and results that depend on it may be affected by its accuracy.
8. Community content
Public identifications shared to the community feed, and shown on tag and search pages, are AI-generated content submitted by other users. They carry the same limitations described here and have not been reviewed by experts.
9. Trademarks
Minifigure Scanner is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the LEGO Group or any other toy manufacturer. Theme, set, and character names are used only to describe the figures being identified and belong to their respective owners.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Minifigure Scanner and its affiliates will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from reliance on AI-generated identifications, descriptions, or value estimates, or on any other content presented by the service, including financial loss, property damage, or personal injury.

We may update this disclaimer from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated disclaimer. By using Minifigure Scanner, you acknowledge and accept these limitations.
