Year Released

May 1st, 2024. This figure was part of a space-themed series celebrating LEGO's historical space sub-themes, released during a year of major cross-theme space branding.

Rarity

Uncommon. As a blind-boxed CMF, it is distributed at a rate of 3 per box of 36. Its rarity is currently low due to recent release, but will rise as the series is retired.

Head

Features a dual-sided flesh-tone head: one side with a determined expression and electronic eyepiece, the other with a confident smirk. Includes a black space helmet with a trans-neon green visor.

Torso

Highly detailed M-Tron themed printing in red and white. Features the classic 'M' logo, mechanical suit details, and back printing showing life support and power systems. Black arms and yellow hands.

Legs

White legs with extensive black and red mechanical printing. Features dual-molded effects and printing on the front and sides to represent power-suit leggings and heavy boots.

Accessories

Includes a large brick-built mechanical arm with a tile-printed M-Tron logo and a trans-neon green 1x2 tile representing an energy crystal or cargo. Comes with a black 4x3 stand.

Color Scheme

Classic M-Tron aesthetic: Red, Black, and White with Trans-Neon Green accents. This is a nostalgic callback to the 1990 sub-theme.

Printing Details

Premium pad printing. High-resolution detailing on the torso (front/back), legs (front/side), and dual-sided head. Superior quality typical of the CMF line compared to standard City sets.

Variants

The 'M-Tron' theme has appeared in 1990 and LEGO Dimensions, but this specific 'Powerlifter' design is a unique 2024 modernized update.

Condition Notes

Susceptible to visor scratches and 'arm-stretch' if the heavy mechanical arm is left in a non-vertical pose for years. The white plastic can yellow over decades if exposed to UV.

Estimated Value

Approximately $5.00 - $8.00 USD (Used/Resale), $4.99 (Retail MSRP). As of release, it is valued at its base retail price.

Price (New)

$4.99 USD per blind box. The figure was sold individually in a cardboard mystery box.

Compatible Sets

71046 Series 26 Space Collectible Minifigures; complements 10391 Over the Moon with Pharrell Williams and classic 90s M-Tron sets.

Character Background

A modern reimagining of the M-Tron (Magnet Transmission) faction agents from the 1990 LEGO Space line. These characters are traditionally space-faring rescue and transport specialists.

Design Notes

Incorporates modern dual-molding and side-leg printing techniques that were unavailable during the original M-Tron era. The mechanical arm is a clever MOC-style brick-built accessory.

Similar Minifigures

Classic M-Tron Astronaut (1990), M-Tron Pulse (LEGO Dimensions), and other Series 26 figures like the Blacktron Mutant or Ice Planet Explorer.

Collectibility

High demand due to AFOL (Adult Fan of LEGO) nostalgia for the 90s Space era. Strongly trending as a 'must-have' for sub-theme completionists.

History

Follows the trend of 'Retro Space' updates seen in CMF Series 17, 21, and 24. It marks the first core M-Tron update in years.

Interesting Facts

The QR code (Data Matrix) on the bottom of the box (017900 code) can be scanned with apps to identify the figure inside without opening the box.

Display Suggestions

Ideal on its series-specific stand or in a custom Space hangar MOC. Looks best next to original 1990 M-Tron vehicles or Series 26 companions.

Modification Potential

The mechanical arm can be easily modified with actual magnets to reference the original theme's play feature. The torso and legs are excellent for custom Sci-Fi MOCs.

Overall Assessment

Conditioned 10/10 for nostalgia and print quality. An excellent value-for-money figure that serves as a perfect bridge between classic LEGO history and modern design.
