Theme
Star Wars
Year Released
2015 - Released as part of the initial wave of sets for The Force Awakens, coinciding with the return of Star Wars to the big screen.
Rarity
Common to Uncommon. While it only appeared in two sets, one of those was the highly popular Millennium Falcon, leading to high circulation in the secondary market.
Head
Nougat (Flesh) color with dual-sided printing: one side determined/serious and the other side scared/sweating. Features black textured short hair piece specific to the character's appearance.
Torso
Dark orange jacket over a black shirt, representing Poe Dameron's jacket. Features fine line printing of pockets and zippers on the front; reverse includes jacket seams and creases. Dark brown hands.
Legs
Plain black legs without printing. Represents the standard First Order stormtrooper under-suit pants the character wore after deserting.
Accessories
Medium-sized black blaster (standard LEGO Star Wars blaster pistol). No additional capes or specialized gear were included with this specific variant.
Color Scheme
Primary colors are Dark Orange and Black. The orange jacket provides a pop of color against the dark torso and legs, accurate to the character's scavenged look in the film.
Printing Details
High-quality pad printing on the head and torso. The jacket details include red/dark red highlights on the shoulder. Printing is crisp with good alignment, typical of 2015-era mid-range figures.
Variants
There are several Finn variants (sw0716 in stormtrooper gear, sw0851 in Resistance officer uniform, and sw0919 in Bacta suit). This sw0676 is the definitive 'hero' look from the beginning of the sequel trilogy.
Condition Notes
Watch for 'arm cracks' at the elbows and torso sides. The black legs are prone to visible scratches and 'scuffs'. Ensure the dual-sided head does not have paint rub on the hair-line area.
Estimated Value
Used: $4.00 - $6.00 USD. New/Mint: $8.00 - $12.00 USD. Value has remained relatively stable due to high supply from the Millennium Falcon set.
Price (New)
N/A (Not sold individually). Set 75105 (Millennium Falcon) retailed for $149.99; Set 75139 (Battle on Takodana) retailed for $59.99.
Compatible Sets
75105 Millennium Falcon (2015), 75139 Battle on Takodana (2016).
Character Background
Finn (FN-2187) is a former First Order stormtrooper who defected to the Resistance. This outfit represents his look after crashing on Jakku, where he took Poe Dameron's jacket.
Design Notes
The hair mold was specifically created to better represent John Boyega's hair texture, replacing the more generic 'afro' or 'flat-top' pieces used for Black characters in earlier years.
Similar Minifigures
Poe Dameron (sw0677) who wears the same jacket design, Rey (sw0671), and Han Solo (sw0675).
Collectibility
Standard collectibility. It is a core character for any Sequel Trilogy collection but lacks the high-value rarity of limited edition polybags or chrome figures.
History
This was the very first 'civilian' Finn minifigure ever produced, marking the debut of the character in the LEGO system during the 2015 'Force Friday' event.
Interesting Facts
The jacket torso is nearly identical to the one worn by Poe Dameron in the same wave, reflecting the plot point where Finn inherits the jacket after the TIE fighter crash.
Display Suggestions
Best displayed alongside BB-8 and Rey on a tan (sand) baseplate, or inside the interior of the 75105 Millennium Falcon set.
Modification Potential
Excellent for custom Resistance fighters. The head is frequently used by MOC builders for various modern-day or sci-fi characters requiring a Nougat skin tone.
Overall Assessment
A solid, movie-accurate minifigure that captured the excitement of the new Star Wars era. While not highly valuable, it is an essential piece of Star Wars LEGO history.
