Figure ID

Theme
LEGO Elves
Year Released
2017 - This figure debuted during the third wave of the Elves theme, which introduced the Goblin sub-theme and moved the design language toward a darker, villain-focused aesthetic.
Rarity
Uncommon - Ash was exclusive to a single set (41185) during a theme that had a niche but dedicated following. While not a 'rare' limited edition, the Elves theme's discontinuation has increased its scarcity.
Head
The head features Lavender skin with pointed ears molded as part of the head piece. It has yellow eyes with slit pupils, a wide smirk revealing fangs, and dark brown hair molded onto the top. Face printing includes magenta and black accents around the eyes.
Torso
Dark brown and dark red print on a Lavender torso. The design depicts a leather-style tunic with a gold chain strap, a belt with a silver buckle, and two gold coin/medallion details. Arms and hands are Lavender.
Legs
Short black legs (static, non-articulated) with dark red and dark brown printing on the front representing a continuation of the tunic and layered loincloth design.
Accessories
The figure is pictured with a back-mounted brown quiver. In its original set, it also came with a bow and arrow and a small buildable 'Goblin Village' prison cell.
Color Scheme
Lavender (Medium Lilac) primary skin tone, Dark Brown hair/torso accents, and Dark Red highlights. This color palette was consistent across the Elves Goblin faction to denote their magical mutation.
Printing Details
High-quality pad printing on the torso (front and back) and legs. The head features complex multi-color eyes and fangs. The blending of the lavender skin with the dark leather armor is sharp and well-aligned.
Variants
There are no known production variants of Ash, though several other Goblins (Tufflin, Jimblin, Bieblin) share the same Lavender skin tone but have different face prints, hair molds, and torso designs.
Condition Notes
The molded ears are a common point for 'play wear' or tooth marks. Because of the Lavender plastic, scratches show more easily than on standard yellow. Check the neck for hairline cracks, a common 2017-era issue.
Estimated Value
Used Complete: $3.00 - $5.00 USD; New/Mint: $6.00 - $9.00 USD. The value remains relatively low due to the small size of the figure and the niche demand for Elves goblins.
Price (New)
Ash appeared in set 41185 (Magic Rescue from the Goblin Village) which retailed for $59.99 USD in 2017. He was one of three goblins included in the box.
Compatible Sets
41185 Magic Rescue from the Goblin Village (2017).
Character Background
Ash is one of the henchmen serving the Goblin King (Cronan) in the Elves universe. Goblins were once good forest creatures corrupted by the Shadow Fountain's dark magic, tasked with capturing Emily Jones' sister, Sophie.
Design Notes
The Elves Goblins utilized a unique 'shortling' head mold with integrated ears and hair. Unlike standard minifigures, the head and hair are a single dual-molded/painted piece, giving them a distinct silhouette from other LEGO characters.
Similar Minifigures
elf020 (Tufflin), elf030 (Jimblin), elf035 (Bieblin), and elf031 (Dukin). They are also stylistically similar to the Series 13 Goblin CMF, though with different proportions.
Collectibility
Moderate. Collectors of the Elves theme seek to complete the set of unique named Goblins. For general fantasy collectors, they are popular for 'goblin horde' MOCs (My Own Creations).
History
Ash represents the evolution of LEGO's fantasy figure design, moving away from classic 'yellow' to character-specific skin tones. This was part of LEGO's push into narrative-driven, female-skewing fantasy sets between 2015-2018.
Interesting Facts
Despite having 'Ash' as a name, there is no gender specified for the Goblins in most lore; they are often treated as a hive-mind or group of cursed creatures. The head mold is specifically designed to be shorter than a standard minifigure head.
Display Suggestions
Display alongside the Goblin King and other Lavendar goblins on a forest-themed baseplate. Use bioluminescent (glow) pieces to highlight the magical nature of the Elves sub-theme.
Modification Potential
Excellent for fantasy MOCs. The lavender arms and hands are highly sought after by customizers building alien characters or monsters. The head is unique enough to serve as a 'demon' or 'imp' in Castle-themed builds.
Overall Assessment
Ash is a charming, well-printed small figure from one of LEGO's most creative original IPs. While not high in monetary value, the unique mold and color make it a standout addition to any fantasy collection.
