Thanos (with Pearl Gold Helmet)

Figure ID

sh504

Theme

Marvel Super Heroes

Year Released

2018 (Released March 1st)

Rarity

Uncommon. This figure was exclusive to a single mid-tier set during the Infinity War wave. While mass-produced, it is the only minifigure-scale (standard size) version of Thanos produced by LEGO for that film era, as most others were 'BigFigs'.

Head

Medium Lavender head with red eyes, furrowed brow, and detailed chin ridges. Features a Pearl Gold helmet (part 35745) which is often considered the defining characteristic of this variant.

Torso

Dark Blue torso with Pearl Gold and Medium Lavender printing. The design depicts Thanos's armored vest from the beginning of Infinity War. It includes gold trim and muscle definition printing on both front and back. Arms are Dark Blue with Pearl Gold hands.

Legs

Dark Blue legs with Pearl Gold printing on the hips and front of the legs, depicting the lower half of his combat suit and knee plating.

Accessories

In its original set (76107), the figure included a broadsword/double-blade weapon built from several pieces and a specialized Infinity Gauntlet piece (which is technically a hand replacement or oversized glove accessory).

Color Scheme

Primary colors are Dark Blue and Pearl Gold, with Medium Lavender skin tone and red eye accents. This palette represents his royal yet militaristic look from the MCU.

Printing Details

High-quality pad printing. Features intricate gold lines that align between the torso and the hip piece. The chin ridges on the head are well-defined to match the character's unique anatomy.

Variants

There are several 'BigFig' versions (oversized molded figures). The most similar minifigure-scale version is sh713 (2021), which has a different torso print and a different helmet mold. Another small version appears in the 'Mighty Micros' line (sh230) which is stylized/cartoony.

Condition Notes

The Pearl Gold helmet is prone to minor surface scratches. Check for 'neck cracks' on the Dark Blue torso, a common issue with darker LEGO plastics. The gold printing on the legs can rub off with heavy play.

Estimated Value

Used: $12 - $18 USD | New (extracted): $20 - $25 USD. Price varies significantly based on whether the Infinity Gauntlet and stones are included.

Price (New)

Originally included in set 76107 (Thanos: Ultimate Battle) which retailed for $69.99 USD.

Compatible Sets

76107 Thanos: Ultimate Battle (2018).

Character Background

Based on Thanos from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) as seen in 'Avengers: Infinity War'. He is the Mad Titan seeking the six Infinity Stones to wipe out half of all life to ensure universal balance.

Design Notes

A significant departure from the standard BigFig Thanos. This version allowed fans to have a Thanos that could fit in vehicles and interact more easily with standard minifigures, though it lacks the scale accuracy of the BigFig.

Similar Minifigures

sh713 (Thanos from 76170), sh230 (Mighty Micros Thanos), and various BigFig versions like sh505.

Collectibility

High demand. Since BigFigs are the norm for this character, this standard minifigure version is a must-have for those building 'Hall of Villains' displays or specialized Marvel frames.

History

Prior to 2018, Thanos was only available as a BigFig (sh153). This figure marked the first time the cinematic armor was rendered in standard scale, reflecting LEGO's trend of providing smaller 'playable' versions of large characters.

Interesting Facts

The helmet piece used here was a new mold in 2018. If you look closely at the chin printing, LEGO designers meticulously matched the 'scrotum-like' chin texture described in the films.

Display Suggestions

Display alongside the six Infinity Stones and a complete Infinity Gauntlet. He looks best positioned against the 2018-era Avengers (Iron Man Mk 50 and Doctor Strange).

Modification Potential

The head and helmet are frequently used for 'custom classic comics' Thanos MOCs by swapping the Dark Blue torso for a bright blue and gold one to match the 1991 'Infinity Gauntlet' comic look.

Overall Assessment

9/10 Collectibility score. It is a unique, well-detailed figure that captures a specific moment in cinematic history. Its value has remained stable and it remains the preferred 'small' Thanos for most collectors.
