Character Background
Lasha is the scout for the Venomari tribe. He is known for being somewhat dim-witted but agile, using his venom to hallucinate his enemies in the Ninjago TV show.
Design Notes
Significant for being part of the first wave of Ninjago snake tribes, which introduced 4-5 unique head molds for the different serpentine factions.
Similar Minifigures
Spitta (njo043), Acidicus (njo070), and other Venomari tribe members; also similar to later LEGO Chima figures.
Collectibility
High for Ninjago 'completionists' who want all five original snake tribes. Venomari are fan favorites due to their vibrant lime color.
History
Launched during Ninjago's second year, helping solidify the theme as a major pillar for LEGO after the initial success of the pilot season.
Interesting Facts
The headpiece is dual-molded/printed in a way that the 'hood' is part of the head, making it one of the bulkier single-piece heads at the time.
Display Suggestions
Display alongside other Venomari members on a jungle-themed baseplate or inside a Ninjago-themed acrylic case to prevent dust in the crevices of the head mold.
Modification Potential
The head and scaled legs are popular for MOCs (My Own Creations) involving lizard-men, dragons, or swamp monsters.
Overall Assessment
A quintessential 2012 Ninjago figure. It represents the peak of 'character' design in the early themes with its unique mold and consistent scale printing across all three sections.
