Commander Cody (Phase 2) - Orange Visor, 212th Attack Battalion

Figure ID

sw1223

Theme

Star Wars

Year Released

Released in 2022 as part of the LEGO Star Wars AT-TE Walker set #75337. It was a highly anticipated figure marking the first official LEGO Phase 2 Cody.

Rarity

Uncommon to Rare. While the set is recent, Cody is exclusive to a medium-price-point set ($140 USD) and is a highly targeted character by collectors and army builders.

Head

A standard 'Nougat' flesh-toned clone trooper head with a determined expression, featuring bushy eyebrows and a smirk. It is covered by a Phase 2 helmet with unique orange markings and two side holes for accessories.

Torso

White base with detailed 212th Battalion orange markings, thermal detonator on the back, and gray utility belt printing. Features orange arms and black hands.

Legs

White legs with extensive orange marking prints on the hips, thighs, and knees, including toe printing which is a premium feature for modern Star Wars clones.

Accessories

Includes an orange visor attached to the helmet. Not shown in the image but originally packaged with a black DC-15S blaster carbine.

Color Scheme

The primary colors are white and bright orange, representing the 212th Attack Battalion livery, with gray and black accents for armor gaps and equipment.

Printing Details

Extremely high detail. Features 360-degree style printing including the torso front/back, legs front, and even the feet/toes. The helmet print is crisp and specifically aligned for the visor attachment.

Variants

This is the current definitive Phase 2 version. There was an earlier Phase 1 variant (sw0196) from 2008 and a LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga digital variant, but this is the first physical P2 version.

Condition Notes

Check the orange visor for stress marks or cracks at the attachment points. Printing on the toes is prone to rubbing off if played with on rough surfaces. The helmet side-holes can become loose over time.

Estimated Value

$25.00 - $35.00 USD for the minifigure alone in used to 'like new' condition. New-in-box value is tied to the full set 75337 which retails for $139.99.

Price (New)

Available in set 75337 ($139.99 MSRP). The figure currently holds about 25% of the total set value on the secondary market.

Compatible Sets

75337 AT-TE Walker (2022).

Character Background

CC-2224, known as Cody, was the commander of the 212th Attack Battalion and served directly under General Obi-Wan Kenobi during the Clone Wars, eventually executing Order 66 on Utapau.

Design Notes

The helmet mold includes holes for accessories (visors/rangefinders), a controversial change for some fans but essential for Cody's iconic look. The orange is a perfect match to the 212th Troopers in the same set.

Similar Minifigures

212th Attack Battalion Trooper (sw1235), Captain Rex (sw0450/sw1314), Commander Gregor, and the Phase 1 Cody (sw0196).

Collectibility

High. Since fans waited over 15 years for a Phase 2 Cody, it is a cornerstone of any Prequel-era collection and is expected to appreciate once the AT-TE set retires.

History

For years, fans used custom decals or 3rd-party parts to create P2 Cody. LEGO's 2022 release finally filled one of the biggest gaps in the Star Wars minifigure lineup.

Interesting Facts

The orange visor used is the same mold used for Clone Troopers since 2008, but its inclusion here is what makes the silhouette of Cody distinct from standard 212th troopers.

Display Suggestions

Display at the front of a 212th Battalion army or on the top of the 75337 AT-TE. Pairs perfectly with a Phase 2 Obi-Wan Kenobi (sw1232).

Modification Potential

Commonly modified with cloth waist capes (kamas) or shoulder pauldrons from 3rd-party vendors like Cape Cantina to increase movie accuracy.

Overall Assessment

A 10/10 figure for Star Wars fans. Excellent print quality and accuracy to 'Revenge of the Sith'. A must-own for any serious LEGO Star Wars collector.
