Figure ID

Theme
Ninjago
Year Released
2012 (First release of this variant in set 9446 and 9450)
Rarity
Uncommon. While Garmadon is a central character, this specific 4-arm version with the original black plating was limited to mid-to-high price point sets from the early 2012 wave.
Head
Black head with red eyes, white fangs, and a sinister grin. It features a unique facial print representing Lord Garmadon's 'Shadow' form.
Torso
Specialized double-torso construction. The upper torso is a unique piece (Part 973pb1044) allowing for four arms. Printing features silver and dark blue samurai plating, cords, and traditional Japanese-style armor details.
Legs
Black legs with dark blue and silver printing. Design includes a traditional samurai 'Haidate' (thigh guard) look with a sash belt printed on the hips.
Accessories
Includes the signature Black Samurai Helmet with 'v' crest (Part 60751) and Black Armor / Epaulettes (Part 88295). This figure is pictured without its usual weapons, which typically include four silver katanas or lightning bolts.
Color Scheme
Predominantly Black with Dark Blue accents and Silver/Metallic Grey printing. The red in the eyes is the primary contrasting highlight.
Printing Details
High-quality pad printing typical of the 2012 era. Includes detailed armor plating on the front of the torso and legs, plus facial details that include subtle aging lines.
Variants
Lord Garmadon has many variants including: Sensei Garmadon (Yellow skin), Garmadon - Lord (Original 2 arms), Garmadon (The LEGO Ninjago Movie version), and Resurrection Garmadon (Oni version). This specific one is the 'Rise of the Snakes' 4-arm version.
Condition Notes
Common wear points include the 'neck' of the second torso piece which can develop stress marks. The black plastic shows scratches and 'bruising' easily. Silver printing on the torso often rubs off if handled frequently.

Current market value is approximately $12 - $18 USD for Used/Complete condition. New condition can exceed $25 USD.

Character Background
Lord Garmadon is the primary antagonist (later anti-hero) of the Ninjago series, the son of the First Spinjitzu Master and brother to Wu. After being bitten by the Great Devourer as a child, he was corrupted by evil. He gained his four arms at the end of Season 1 to wield all four Golden Weapons at once.
Design Notes
The introduction of the stacked double-torso was a landmark in LEGO engineering, requiring a new mold to allow a second set of arm sockets without compromising the leg connections.
Similar Minifigures
General Kozu (4 arms), Nadakhan the Djinn (4 arms), and General Samukai (4 arms).
Collectibility
High. This is the definitive 'Villain' version of Garmadon for most OG Ninjago fans. As early Ninjago sets appreciate in value, demand for original version main characters remains strong.
History
This figure marked Garmadon's transformation and the design shift towards more complex 'Overlord' style figures. It transitioned the character from the skeletal army leader of 2011 to a powerhouse villain.
Interesting Facts
The idea for four-armed figures was tested first with the Skeletons (Samukai), but Garmadon was the first 'solid' fleshy-molded character to use the specialized top-torso-extension piece.
Display Suggestions
Display alongside Sensei Wu and the four original Ninjas (Cole, Jay, Kai, Zane) in their ZX suits. Use a stands that heightens the figure to emphasize his towering presence.
Modification Potential
The double-torso piece is highly sought after by MOC (My Own Creation) builders for creating monsters, gods, or alien creatures like Ben 10's Four Arms.
Overall Assessment
9/10. A classic Ninjago staple. The design is intimidating and accurate to the show. It feels more substantial in hand than a standard minifigure due to the extra plastic and unique mold.
