Character Background
Part of the Orc/Troll faction in the Castle Fantasy Era (2007-2009). These trolls served as the heavy infantry for the evil wizard's army against the Crown Knights.
Design Notes
A specialized mold that stands slightly taller than a standard minifigure because of the head stud/ponytail configuration. First use of Sand Green for fantasy grunts.
Similar Minifigures

Collectibility
High. The Fantasy Era is a fan-favorite 'Golden Age' for Castle collectors. Army builders highly desire these trolls for dioramas.
History
Launched at the tail end of the Fantasy Era (2009) to add variety to the troll army which previously consisted of mostly smaller orcs.
Interesting Facts
Despite being called 'Trolls' by LEGO, their design influenced the later 'Orc' designs used in the Lord of the Rings theme (2012).
Display Suggestions
Best displayed in large ranks on a rocky baseplate or defending a modular castle. Pairs perfectly with the Giant Trolls from the same era.
Modification Potential
The shoulder armor is highly sought after for custom Barbarian or Orc MOCs. The head is compatible with most standard helmets.
Overall Assessment
A standout figure from the 2000s Castle era. The unique color and bulky armor makes it a visually distinct and highly desirable collector item.
