Year Released

2010. Released specifically for the launch of the Toy Story 3 LEGO line, marking the first time Disney/Pixar's Toy Story characters were adapted into official LEGO minifigures.

Rarity

Uncommon to Rare. While available in multiple sets in 2010, the unique long-limb molds and stylized heads were discontinued after the initial 2010-2011 run and replaced by standard-sized minifigures in 2019.

Head

Unique molded plastic head. Features Woody's wide-eyed expression, brown eyebrows, and a slight smirk. It is made of light flesh plastic and includes a specific peg system for his removable brown cowboy hat.

Torso

Yellow plaid pattern with a white-and-black cow-print vest. Features a silver sheriff star badge on the left side and red neckerchief printing at the collar. Back printing continues the vest and plaid pattern. Includes standard yellow arms and light flesh hands.

Legs

Extended 'long' legs, a unique mold used to represent Woody's tall, lanky proportion. Blue pants with a printed brown belt and gold bullseye buckle. The boots are medium nougat/brown and integrated into the leg mold with dual-molding or precise printing.

Accessories

Brown wide-brimmed cowboy hat (Hat, Cowboy - Toy Story). Other sets included a lasso or a 2x2 round brick with a 'pull-string' print, though the figure is shown here with just the hat.

Color Scheme

Primary colors are yellow, blue, and brown, accented by white and black cow prints. The use of 'Long' light flesh limbs and specialized nougat boots is iconic to this era of Toy Story figures.

Printing Details

High-quality pad printing on the torso (front and back) and legs. The plaid lines on the shirt and the distinct spots on the vest show exceptional alignment for the era. The sheriff badge has metallic-look silver ink.

Variants

This is the original 2010 long-legged version. A variant exists with a 'frightened' face (toy006) from set 7594. Later versions (2019) use standard-sized minifigure legs and standard LEGO heads.

Condition Notes

The molded head is prone to paint scuffs on the nose and hair. The long legs are more fragile at the hip joint compared to standard legs, and cracks can develop on the torso sides under the arms.

Estimated Value

New: $25 - $35; Used Complete: $12 - $20. Values fluctuate based on the condition of the hat and scuffing on the molded face.

Price (New)

Available in sets ranging from $14.99 (7591) to $49.99 (7597). The figure was never sold individually and was exclusive to the LEGO Toy Story product line.

Compatible Sets

7590 Woody and Buzz to the Rescue (2010), 7592 Buzz's Star Command Spaceship (2010), 7594 Woody's Roundup (2010), 7597 Western Train Chase (2010).

Character Background

Woody is the protagonist of Pixar's Toy Story franchise, a vintage pull-string cowboy doll belonging to Andy Davis. He represents leadership, loyalty, and the transition from childhood to maturity.

Design Notes

LEGO created unique long-leg and long-arm molds specifically for Woody and Jessie to capture their lanky ragdoll aesthetic. The molded heads moved away from the 'standard' minifigure look to satisfy Disney's brand guidelines.

Similar Minifigures

toy002 Jessie (long legs), toy005 Stinky Pete, and the modern 10766 standard-leg Woody released in 2019 for Toy Story 4.

Collectibility

High. This version is preferred by many collectors for its screen-accurate height and unique parts that are no longer in production, making it a nostalgic centerpiece for Pixar fans.

History

Launched in January 2010 for Toy Story 3. It was one of the first times LEGO experimented with altering the core minifigure silhouette (height) for a licensed character since the basketball figures of 2003.

Interesting Facts

Because of the long legs, this Woody stands significantly taller than a standard LEGO minifigure, making him roughly 5 bricks high instead of the usual 4.

Display Suggestions

Display alongside the 2010 Buzz Lightyear (toy004) in a clear acrylic case (as shown). UV protection is vital as the light flesh plastic can discolor over time.

Modification Potential

The long legs can be used for custom tall characters (like Slender Man or botanical MOCs). The torso is popular for custom cowboy or 'Old West' themed minifigures.

Overall Assessment

A 5/5 iconic figure for the Toy Story enthusiast. The 2010 'long leg' Woody is a bold piece of LEGO history that perfectly balances the LEGO system with the character's distinct cinematic look.
