Year Released

2019 - Released as part of the 76125 Iron Man Hall of Armor set, celebrating the culmination of the MCU's first decade.

Rarity

Uncommon. While exclusive to one specific set, that set was a mass-market bestseller and remained in production for several years.

Head

Full head print (no separate helmet piece). Features a flat silver base color with black/grey mechanical printing, rectangular eye slits, and distressed 'dents' to mimic the scrap-metal look of the movie suit.

Torso

Flat silver torso with complex mechanical wire and plating prints. Features the crude circular Arc Reactor in the center. Light bluish grey arms and flat silver hands. Back printing includes rear plating and mechanical detailing.

Legs

Flat silver legs with specialized printing on the front of the hips and legs, showing exposed gears and heavy armor plating. No side or back leg printing.

Accessories

Typically includes two Trans-Orange 'Power Blast' hand elements and two Trans-Orange rounds representing propulsion. The image shows the figure without the traditional Iron Man helmet, as the Mk 1 uses a solid head-print to match the bulky, industrial look of the original suit.

Color Scheme

Primarily Flat Silver and Light Bluish Grey, representing the unpainted scrap metal Tony Stark used in the cave. Accents include black lining and a white/blue Arc Reactor.

Printing Details

High-quality pad printing. The head printing is noteworthy for wrapping around to give the illusion of a helmet without the added bulk of a standard Iron Man mask piece.

Variants

This is the 'detailed' version. A previous version (sh036) existed with a different helmet mold and simplified printing; a newer 2022 version (sh825) exists with slightly updated printing and a transparent head underneath a standard helmet.

Condition Notes

Common wear includes scratches on the flat silver paint, which shows scuffing more easily than standard plastic colors. Check for 'silvering' or rubbing off of the black line work on the chest/face.

Estimated Value

Used: $8.00 - $12.00 | New: $14.00 - $18.00. Value is relatively stable due to the popularity of the Hall of Armor set.

Price (New)

Released in set 76125 which retailed for $59.99 USD. The set contained 5 minifigures plus Igor (a brick-built suit).

Compatible Sets

76125 Iron Man Hall of Armor; 76196 Marvel Avengers Advent Calendar (2021).

Character Background

Represents Tony Stark's first Iron Man suit, built in a cave with Ho Yinsen using salvaged missile parts to escape captivity from the Ten Rings. This 'clunky' aesthetic is iconic to the character's MCU origin.

Design Notes

LEGO opted for a printed head rather than a helmet mold to accurately convey the small eye slits and welded-shut appearance of the Mark 1. This is a rare design choice for Iron Man figures.

Similar Minifigures

Iron Man Mark 1 (sh036 - 2012 version), Iron Man Mark 5, various 'Hall of Armor' suits like Mark 41 (Bones) or Mark 50.

Collectibility

High. Essential for anyone building a complete Hall of Armor or MCU timeline collection.

History

For years, collectors only had the 2012 Mark 1. This 2019 version was a significant upgrade in printing detail and accuracy to the source material.

Interesting Facts

The printing includes small 'bolt' details that line up with the torso, showing LEGO's attention to the 'welded' nature of the scrap-metal suit.

Display Suggestions

Best displayed on a translucent stand to mimic flight or within a Hall of Armor display cubicle next to Tony Stark.

Modification Potential

The head piece is excellent for Star Wars 'junk droid' MOCs or post-apocalyptic scavengers due to the' scrap-metal' printing.

Overall Assessment

An excellent representation of an iconic suit. Rating: 8.5/10. It is the definitive version of the Mark 1 suit for most collectors.
