Character Background
Undead or 'reanimated' Stormtroopers serving Grand Admiral Thrawn and the Great Mothers on the planet Peridea. Their armor is repaired with gold and bound in red fabric in a custom known as Kintsugi.
Design Notes
A masterclass in textural storytelling; the gold kintsugi cracks represent 'repairing with beauty,' making these some of the most visually distinct Stormtroopers ever produced.
Similar Minifigures
Enoch (sw1307), other Night Trooper variants (sw1305, sw1306), and standard 2020-style Stormtroopers (sw1097).
Collectibility
High. Army builders desire multiples of these, and the unique connection to the Ahoska series makes them a high-priority for specialized Star Wars collectors.
History
Debuted in the 2023 LEGO Star Wars wave alongside the Disney+ Ahsoka television series. This marks the first official LEGO depiction of 'Zombi-troopers'.
Interesting Facts
The 'gold crack' design is based on the real Japanese art of Kintsugi, where broken pottery is repaired with gold lacquer to celebrate its history rather than hide the damage.
Display Suggestions
Display in a group led by Captain Enoch or Grand Admiral Thrawn. They look best against dark, rocky terrain or on a Peridea-themed MOC.
Modification Potential
Excellent for 'zombie' or 'post-apocalyptic' Star Wars MOCs. The parts are frequently swapped to create an army where no two troopers look identical.
Overall Assessment
9/10. An exceptional design that breaks the monotony of standard white Stormtroopers with high-quality printing and a hauntingly beautiful aesthetic.
