Figure ID

Theme

Legends of Chima

Year Released

2014, released during the third and final wave of the Chima theme which introduced the Fire CHI powered forms.

Rarity

Uncommon. While not a limited exclusive, it only appeared in two sets during the theme's final year, making it harder to find than early Crocodile tribe figures.

Head

Dual-piece construction: A dark green crocodile head mold featuring white teeth, yellow eyes, and red 'Fire CHI' scarring/markings. The lower jaw is a separate articulated piece.

Torso

Dark Green with lime green arms; features intricate Fire CHI harness printing with a trans-orange orb in the center. Back is printed with spine and harness cord details.

Legs

Red legs with gold, dark red, and lime green printing. Features ornate Fire CHI armor plating and knee guards consistent with the Crocodile tribe aesthetic.

Accessories

Includes a Pearl Gold 'CHI' shoulder armor piece with a circular chest slot (housing a trans-orange 1x1 tile). Usually carries a 'Vengious' staff weapon (partially visible in image).

Color Scheme

Primary Dark Green and Red, accented with Pearl Gold and Trans-Orange to represent the elemental fire power upgrade.

Printing Details

High-quality pad printing on head, torso (front/back), and legs (front). The alignment on the head scars is particularly detailed for this era.

Variants

Standard Cragger (loc001), Stealthened Cragger, and various cape/armor configurations exist. This specific 'Fire CHI' version is visually distinct due to the red scars and red legs.

Condition Notes

Common issues include loose jaw articulation, scratches on the gold armor, and 'torso cracks' at the armpits. The trans-orange 'CHI' orb is frequently missing.

Estimated Value

$10.00 - $15.00 USD (Used/Complete), $25.00+ (New/In Kit). The value has remained stable but is rising as Chima moves into 'nostalgia' territory.

Price (New)

Originally available in sets priced at $14.99 (70135) and $79.99 (70146). Part of the standard retail wave.

Compatible Sets

70135 Cragger's Fire Stryker and 70146 Flying Phoenix Fire Temple.

Character Background

Prince (later King) of the Crocodile Tribe. Originally Laval's best friend turned rival, this version represents him after being empowered by the Fire CHI to fight the Ice Hunters.

Design Notes

The Chima head molds remain some of LEGO's most complex work, featuring rubberized plastic blend and multi-part assembly for the articulated snout.

Similar Minifigures

Fire CHI Laval (loc071), Fire CHI Worriz (loc081), and the original Cragger (loc001).

Collectibility

High for Chima enthusiasts. It is considered the 'final form' of one of the theme's main protagonists, making it a cornerstone for a character-complete collection.

History

Represents the transition of the Chima theme from basic animal tribes to elemental 'Powered up' factions before the theme was discontinued in 2015 to make way for Nexo Knights.

Interesting Facts

This minifigure's head mold depicts a scar on the left eye that is only present in the Fire CHI and Stealthened versions, reflecting the character's battle-hardened status in later seasons.

Display Suggestions

Best displayed with the Fire CHI orb inserted and the Vengious staff. Looks excellent alongside Fire CHI Laval and Eris in a 'Fire vs. Ice' battle diorama.

Modification Potential

The pearl gold armor is highly sought after for MOC (My Own Creation) fantasy warriors. The croc head is often used in D&D Dragonborn or Lizardfolk customs.

Overall Assessment

An excellent example of LEGO's late-era specialized molding and printing. A must-have for Chima fans and an interesting piece of LEGO history representing their experimental period with complex animal-humanoids.
