Mummy - Monster Fighters
mof004 · Monster Fighters
The Moon Stones · 2012 (First release in the Mummy set of the Monster Fighters line)

Figure ID
mof004
Theme
Monster Fighters
Year Released
2012 (First release in the Mummy set of the Monster Fighters line)
Rarity
Common to Uncommon. It was widely available in several entry-level sets but as a retired theme, availability is now limited to the secondary market.
Head
Light Bluish Gray head; features yellow glowing eyes, light gray bandage/skin texture printing, and a devious smirk showing teeth. Single-sided printing.
Torso
White torso with bandage wraps and tattered fabric printing. Includes dark tan/sand green detailing for age/dirt. Back is also printed with continuous bandage wraps. Light Bluish Gray hands.
Legs
Solid White legs and hips. This specific version does not feature leg printing, which distinguishes it from some later CMF mummy variants.
Accessories
The figure is pictured with a Flat Black Greatsword (Part 98347). Note that in its original set 9462, the character typically wielded a spear or was associated with a chariot.
Color Scheme
Primarily White and Light Bluish Gray. Accents include dark tan/sand-colored 'dirt' on the bandages and subtle yellow/orange for the eyes.
Printing Details
High-quality pad printing typical of the 2012 era. Torso printing covers the front and back; head printing includes fine crack details.
Variants
There are several LEGO mummies; this 'Monster Fighters' version differs from the Series 3 CMF (which has a printed headpiece) and the Pharaoh’s Quest mummies (which have different face prints and gold accents).
Condition Notes
Main concerns are the white plastic yellowing over time if exposed to UV. White torsos are also prone to visible cracking at the sides/underarms and visible dirt build-up in the cracks of the printing.
Estimated Value
Used: $3.00 - $5.00; New (pulled from set): $6.00 - $8.00. The sword adds approx. $0.15 - $0.25 to the value.
Price (New)
Originally available in set 9462 'The Mummy' for $12.99 USD, which included two minifigures and a vehicle.
Compatible Sets
9462 The Mummy, 30200 Zombie Chauffeur Coffin (Polybag), and 40076 Zombie Chauffeur (Promotional).
Character Background
A classic horror-inspired antagonist from the Monster Fighters lore. This mummy serves Lord Vampyre's quest to collect the Moon Stones to eclipse the sun forever.
Design Notes
Significant for using Light Bluish Gray hands to represent undead skin, contrasting with the White bandages. The 'glowing eye' print was a staple of the Monster Fighters villains.
Similar Minifigures
Mummy (CMF Series 3), Mummy Warrior (Pharaoh's Quest), and the Zombie Driver (Monster Fighters).
Collectibility
Moderate. It is a 'must-have' for completionists of the Monster Fighters theme, which enjoys a cult following, but it is not a high-value rarity.
History
Monster Fighters was a short-lived but beloved theme released in 2012. It marked a transition toward more detailed 'undead' character designs compared to the classic 1990s Studios or Adventurers themes.
Interesting Facts
Despite being an ancient Egyptian-themed character, this specific figure appeared in a polybag (30200) as a passenger for a Zombie Chauffeur in a 1920s-style car.
Display Suggestions
Looks best in a graveyard or desert tomb vignette. Pair with the Monster Fighters 'Hearse' or 'Haunted House'. UV protection is vital to keep the white plastic from turning yellow.
Modification Potential
Excellent for army building. The torso is frequently used for custom 'wrapped' characters or 'invisible man' customs. The head is a popular choice for custom stony statues or gargoyles.
Overall Assessment
A solid, well-designed grunt minifigure from one of LEGO's most creative original themes. While common, its aesthetic holds up well against modern figures. Score: 7/10.
