Year Released

2022. Taun We debuted in Obi-Wan Kenobi's Jedi Starfighter (75333), commemorating the 20th anniversary of Attack of the Clones.

Rarity

Uncommon. While only appearing in one relatively affordable set, Taun We was a highly anticipated figure that fans demanded for two decades, making her a specialized addition to the Star Wars lineup.

Head

Unique molded head/neck piece. Features a long, slender Sand Blue neck integrated with a White head. Printing includes large almond-shaped black eyes with white highlights and subtle facial contouring.

Torso

White torso with Sand Blue arms and White hands. Printing features Kaminoan administrative robes with grey and metallic silver accents, continuing accurately from the neck piece.

Legs

Standard 2x2x2 slope brick instead of traditional legs to represent a flowing gown. Features symmetrical printing of robes with Sand Blue and dark grey detailing.

Accessories

None included with the figure itself in the set, though she interacts with the droid and ship components in the box.

Color Scheme

Primary colors are White and Sand Blue, with accent colors of Light Bluish Grey and Metallic Silver. This matches the sterile, aquatic aesthetic of Kamino.

Printing Details

High-quality pad printing on the molded head, torso (front and back), and the front of the slope brick. Alignment is critical due to the vertical lines of the robes.

Variants

There are no official LEGO variants of this specific character. For years, fans used custom-molded or 3D-printed versions before this official release.

Condition Notes

The long neck is a point of concern for stress marks. The White plastic is susceptible to yellowing if exposed to UV. Check the 'skirt' slope for scratches on the large flat printing surface.

Estimated Value

Used: $6.00 – $9.00 USD; New (pulled from set): $10.00 – $13.00 USD. Prices are stable due to the set's recent availability.

Price (New)

Included in set 75333 which retailed for $29.99 USD. The per-figure value was heightened by her being a long-awaited 'debut' character.

Compatible Sets

75333 Obi-Wan Kenobi's Jedi Starfighter (2022).

Character Background

Taun We is a Kaminoan administrative aide who greeted Obi-Wan Kenobi upon his arrival at Tipoca City. She served Prime Minister Lama Su and oversaw the cloning project for the Grand Army of the Republic.

Design Notes

The use of a specialized neck/head mold was a departure from early LEGO 'purist' designs, successfully capturing the height and elegance of the Kaminoan species. It represents a significant upgrade over the 'brick-built' aliens of the early 2000s.

Similar Minifigures

Lama Su (if LEGO produces one), standard White/Sand Blue Star Wars figures like the 212th Clone Troopers or General Obi-Wan Kenobi (sw1214).

Collectibility

High. As the first-ever official Kaminoan minifigure, she is a cornerstone for collectors of the Prequel Era and 'Attack of the Clones' specific displays.

History

For 20 years, Kaminoans were absent from the LEGO Star Wars lineup. Her release in 2022 marked the completion of many fans' Episode II character rosters.

Interesting Facts

Despite being a major character in Episode II, it took exactly 20 years for LEGO to create a mold that they felt accurately represented the Kaminoan physiology.

Display Suggestions

Display alongside sw1214 (Obi-Wan) and R4-P17 on a clean white baseplate to simulate the hallways of Tipoca City. Keep out of direct sunlight to prevent the white plastic from turning yellow.

Modification Potential

The head/neck piece is highly sought after for MOCs (My Own Creations) involving other Kaminoan characters like Lama Su or Nala Se.

Overall Assessment

An excellent 9/10 minifigure. It perfectly captures a difficult-to-translate alien design and satisfies a multi-decade fan request with high-quality printing and a unique mold.
