Secrets of the Forbidden Spinjitzu · 2019

Figure ID
njo541
Theme
Ninjago
Year Released
2019
Rarity
Uncommon/Rare. Appearing in only two sets from a specific wave, one of which was a high-priced flagship set.
Head
Unique dual-molded snake head in reddish-brown and trans-yellow. Features a long neck with detailed scale printing and glowing yellow eyes.
Torso
Tan torso with mummy-like bandages and dark-red under-layers. Back-printing continues the charred bandage aesthetic. Includes dark-brown hands.
Legs
Standard-size tan legs with detailed printing of bandages, tattered dark-red fabric, and visible skeleton-like elements behind the wrapping.
Accessories
Includes the 'Serpentine Armor' shoulder piece in dark orange with two molded snake heads. The figure should ideally carry the Scroll of Forbidden Spinjitzu, though the photo shows a standard scimitar/blade.
Color Scheme
Primary colors are Tan, Reddish Brown, and Dark Orange, with Trans-Yellow accents for the 'fire' elements of the head piece.
Printing Details
High-quality pad printing on head, torso, and legs. Alignment is critical on the bandage wraps; this figure features 'Charred' detailing to represent the character's imprisonment.
Variants
There is only one official minifigure version of Aspheera (njo541), though her lower half is replaced by a translucent 'power swirl' in the show; the physical LEGO version uses legs for stability.
Condition Notes
The dual-molded head is the most vulnerable part; check for cracks in the translucent plastic. The shoulder armor can cause minor scuffing to the torso print over time.
Estimated Value
Used: $12.00 - $18.00 USD. New/Unassembled: $22.00 - $28.00 USD. Value is rising as the 'Secrets of the Forbidden Spinjitzu' sets retire.
Price (New)
Available in sets ranging from $59.99 (70674 Fire Fang) to $129.99 (70677 Land Bounty).
Compatible Sets
70674 Fire Fang (2019) and 70677 Land Bounty (2019).
Character Background
Aspheera is a Sorceress and leader of the Serpentine tribe 'Pyro Vipers.' She was imprisoned for centuries in a pyramid for betraying a young Wu before returning as a main antagonist.
Design Notes
The head mold is exceptional, featuring a flared hood and translucent 'fire' hair. It remains one of the most distinctive Serpentine molds in Ninjago history.
Similar Minifigures
Char, Pyro Destroyer, Pyro Slayer, and General Kozu. She also shares tactical similarities with earlier snake generals like Skales.
Collectibility
High. Villains from specific Ninjago seasons usually maintain or gain value once the wave is discontinued, especially those with unique head molds.
History
Debuted in the 'Fire Chapter' of Season 11. She represents a pivotal shift in the lore, connecting the current Ninjas' history back to Wu's childhood.
Interesting Facts
The character was the first female Serpentine leader introduced in the show. Her design uses translucent plastic to represent her 'infused fire' power.
Display Suggestions
Display alongside the Fire Fang (70674) or in a custom desert/tomb MOC. Looks best under back-lighting to make the translucent head glow.
Modification Potential
The head/neck piece is highly desirable for custom Serpentine or Egyptian-themed fantasy MOCs. The torso/legs are useful for 'undead' or 'mummy' figures.
Overall Assessment
A top-tier Ninjago villain with a unique silhouette. Aspheera is a must-have for fans of the Serpentine line and collectors of unique LEGO mold designs.
