Rarity
Common. As a blind-box Series entry, it is produced in high volume; however, due to the QR code scanning method, certain characters often Sell Out faster than others.
Head
Yellow skin tone with a cheerful expression and a printed hearing aid. A dark blue newsboy style cap (officially 'Flat Cap') is included.
Torso
Dark blue puffer vest over a striped long-sleeve shirt. The printing is high quality, featuring realistic fabric creases and zipper detailing on both front and back.
Legs
Medium stone grey legs with printing for pockets and standard hip assembly.
Accessories
A unique micro-model of a green train (resembling the Emerald Night) and a green 'train tile' representing a ticket or photograph.
Color Scheme
Primary colors are dark blue and grey, accented by the bright green of the train model and the yellow of the traditional skin tone.
Printing Details
High detail pad printing. Notable for the inclusive addition of a hearing aid print on the side of the head piece, a standard for modern LEGO diversity.
Variants
None currently. This is the sole appearance of this specific design.
Condition Notes
Brand new in box (BNIB) as per the image. Wear usually occurs on the micro-train's tiny wheel connection points or the neck print of the hearing aid if played with.
Estimated Value
$5.00 - $8.00 USD. Value remains close to retail as the series is currently available, though 'identified' boxes sometimes command a small premium.
Price (New)
$4.99 USD per blind box.
Compatible Sets
71045 LEGO Minifigures Series 25.
Character Background
A tribute to 'AFOLs' (Adult Fans of LEGO) and railway hobbyists. The character represents the passion for train spotting and model railroading.
Design Notes
Incorporates a new micro-build design for the train which is highly sought after by micro-scale builders. It uses a 1x2 brick with lateral studs for the boiler.
Similar Minifigures
Series 18 Race Car Guy, Series 20 Brick Costume Guy, and various City Train conductors.
Collectibility
High among theme-specific collectors and train enthusiasts. The QR code on the box makes this specific figure easier to target than previous years.
History
Follows the convention of 'costume' or 'hobby' figures in the CMF line. It is part of the milestone switch to cardboard packaging to reduce plastic waste.
Interesting Facts
The large QR code in the image is part of the 'Data Matrix' system implemented by LEGO to help inventory management, which fans successfully decoded to identify box contents.
Display Suggestions
Ideal for placement in a LEGO City train station layout or on a CMF collection stand next to other hobbyist figures.
Modification Potential
The newsboy cap and puffer vest are excellent for custom 'City' civilian minifigures or historical 1920s-style MOCs.
Overall Assessment
A solid 8/10. Great parts, inclusive head printing, and a charming micro-build make it a standout for the price point.
