Year Released
2018; released alongside the Avengers: Infinity War film wave. This era saw LEGO shifting toward highly detailed, movie-accurate armor prints while introducing specialized multi-arm attachment pieces.
Rarity
Common; despite its unique appearance, this figure was included in several sets across multiple years and price points, making it very easy for collectors to obtain in high quantities.
Head
Integrated into the torso/neck attachment; the actual head is a Dark Blue rounded piece with detailed printing of six yellow eyes, gold/silver facial markings, and pink/magenta accents. There is no hair or traditional helmet as the head is a single specialized part.
Torso
Dark Blue with intricate metallic silver muscle/armor printing and magenta energy lines. The arms are Dark Blue with magenta/pink hands. A specialized neck bracket piece (6224381) allows for the attachment of four additional Dark Blue arms on the back.
Legs
Dark Blue legs with printing on the front hips and legs, continuing the metallic charcoal armor and magenta energy pattern seen on the torso. No side or back printing.
Accessories
One specialized Dark Blue neck-bracket backpack piece with four additional clawed arms (making six arms total including the standard minifigure arms). This part is iconic to the Outrider and defines the character's silhouette.
Color Scheme
Dominant Dark Blue with accents of Magenta, Metallic Silver/Gunmetal Gray, and Bright Yellow eyes. The high-contrast neon magenta against dark blue gives it an alien, aggressive aesthetic.
Printing Details
High-quality pad printing on the head, torso front/back, and leg front. The alignment is generally excellent, featuring fine metallic lines and vivid magenta energy pulses that wrap slightly around the transitions.
Variants
Technically two variants exist: sh505 (the 6-armed version seen here) and sh561 (the 4-armed version with a neck bracket but fewer arms attached). The prints on the head, torso, and legs are identical between versions.
Condition Notes
Primary concern is 'arm droop' or loose friction in the four extra back arms. The magenta hands are prone to cracking if gripped too tightly. Check for scratches on the silver torso printing.
Estimated Value
Used: $2.00 - $3.50; New/Sealed: $4.00 - $6.00. Value remains low due to high production volume and 'army builder' status.
Price (New)
Included in sets ranging from $14.99 (Outrider Dropship Attack) to $99.99 (Sanctum Sanctorum Showdown). As a common troop-builder, the price per figure was very low.
Compatible Sets
76101 Outrider Dropship Attack, 76103 Corvus Glaive Thresher Attack, 76104 The Hulkbuster Smash-Up, 76108 Sanctum Sanctorum Showdown, and 76125 Iron Man Hall of Armor.
Character Background
Genetically engineered parasite-assassin creatures serving Thanos. They first appeared in the MCU during the Battle of Wakanda in Avengers: Infinity War and returned in Avengers: Endgame. They are mindless, loyal, and expendable soldiers.
Design Notes
The use of the 'arm-holder' neck bracket was a clever solution to achieve the six-armed look without creating a massive unique molded body, allowing for custom articulation while keeping the minifigure scale.
Similar Minifigures
Other 'troopers' like Chitauri (sh030), Sakaaran (sh120), and the General Outrider variant (sh510) which features gold shoulder pads.
Collectibility
Highly collectible for army builders who wish to recreate the Battle of Wakanda, but low investment potential due to commonality. It is a staple for any MCU collector.
History
This figure marked the debut of the Outrider in LEGO form. It has remained largely unchanged since its 2018 introduction, effectively capturing the look from the Infinity Saga with consistent quality.
Interesting Facts
In the comics, Outriders are often depicted with four arms, but LEGO opted for the six-arm configuration to match the cinematic versions seen charging the Wakandan energy shield.
Display Suggestions
Best displayed in swarms of 5-10 figures. Using 'transparent clear bars' to pose them lunging or climbing walls adds dynamic energy to an Avengers display.
Modification Potential
Excellent. The neck bracket and extra arms are popular for MOC (My Own Creations) makers to create monsters, sci-fi aliens, or even multi-armed robots.
Overall Assessment
An excellent, highly detailed 'cannon fodder' figure. While not rare, the printing detail is top-tier for its price class. Score: 8/10 for design, 2/10 for rarity.
