Rarity
Uncommon; it was only available in one specialized set and via an exclusive promotional polybag.
Head
Light flesh head with 'Mechanic Scowl' expression (one-sided) featuring detailed eyebrows, smirk with teeth, and chin stubble. Hair is the 'Short Swept Back' piece in black.
Torso
Black torso with silver/gray printing representing a zipper jacket or SHIELD-issued tactical gear. The design features vertical line details and a V-neck outline.
Legs
Plain black unprinted hips and legs.
Accessories
As shown, the figure is missing its primary accessories. Originally came with a briefcase (60012) and/or transparent blue 'Energy' pieces in the polybag version.
Color Scheme
Monochromatic black and dark gray/silver, accented with natural light flesh tone for the head.
Printing Details
Pad-printed torso with sharp metallic silver lining. The head features high-quality character-specific detail that was standard for the initial Marvel 2012 launch.
Variants
This specific torso/head combo was also bundled in the 30160 Iron Man (Tony Stark) polybag. It differs from later 'Playboy' suit versions and armor-clad versions.
Condition Notes
Prone to scratches on the plain black legs. The neck post often shows paint transfer from the torso if disassembled frequently. Check for 'play wear' on the hair piece peaked edges.

Character Background
Represents Tony Stark as seen in the 2012 'The Avengers' film, specifically during the helicarrier and lab sequences where he wore civilian/tactical clothing rather than full armor.
Design Notes
One of the earliest attempts to capture Tony Stark's civilian likeness. Interestingly uses a 'SHIELD' style jacket that was also used for generic SHIELD agents in the same wave.
Similar Minifigures
sh034 (Tony Stark in Black Suit), sh213 (Tony Stark in Silver Centurion), and sh565 (Tony Stark in Team Suit).
Collectibility
Moderate to High. As one of the original 2012 Marvel figures, it holds nostalgic value for early collectors of the MCU line.
History
Debuted at the very start of the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes theme. It marked the transition from LEGO's 'Classic' face styles to more expressive, actor-based likenesses for licensed properties.
Interesting Facts
The torso was actually designed first for the SHIELD Agent (sh029) and was later 'borrowed' to represent Tony Stark in his lab gear.
Display Suggestions
Display alongside the 2012 Quinjet or within a Stark Mansion/Hall of Armor MOC to represent the character outside of his suits.
Modification Potential
Excellent for custom civilian characters or agents due to the generic but detailed black jacket print.
Overall Assessment
A solid, essential figure for MCU completionists. While it lacks leg printing, the facial expression perfectly captures Robert Downey Jr.'s portrayal of the character.
