Figure ID

Theme

Legends of Chima

Year Released

2014 - Released as part of the 'Legends of Chima' Fire vs. Ice expansion wave during the height of LEGO's original big-box internal IP era.

Rarity

Uncommon. While Eris was a main character, this specific 'Bright Light Blue' variant was only included in three sets, making it rarer than the early 'White' versions.

Head

Bright Light Blue special mold with bird/eagle beak. Features blue feathery printing and red eyes. It is double-sided, usually featuring a determined face and an angry/fighting face.

Torso

Bright Light Blue with gold/bronze armor printing, dark purple tunic center, and white feather patterns near the bottom. Printing is detailed but restricted to the front and back of the plastic part.

Legs

Missing in image. Should be Bright Light Blue with white and gold printing representing feathered armor and a purple loincloth, matching the torso pattern.

Accessories

Missing in image. Originally included translucent blue 'CHI' wings attached via a neck bracket and an axe-like weapon (Glaximus) constructed from multiple pieces.

Color Scheme

Bright Light Blue (Primary), Gold/Bronze, White, and Dark Purple. This palette represents the 'frozen' or 'evolved' version of the Eagle tribe.

Printing Details

High-quality pad printing. The gold armor features intricate filigree that was standard for the 'Fire vs. Ice' line. Typical for mid-2010s LEGO production.

Variants

Standard Eris (White), Armor Eris (with breastplate), and Fire CHI Eris (with translucent orange parts). This version is the specific 'Bright Light Blue' variant.

Condition Notes

The beak of the headpiece is a high-wear area where paint can rub off. The neck peg on these Chima heads is also prone to forming stress fractures if removed frequently.

Estimated Value

$4.00 - $7.00 for the full figure. In its current incomplete state (missing legs/accessories), it is valued at approximately $1.50 - $2.50.

Price (New)

Available in sets ranging from $14.99 (70128) to $49.99 (70142) and $79.99 (70145). Not sold individually.

Compatible Sets

70128 Braptor's Wing Striker (2014), 70142 Eris' Fire Eagle Flyer (2014), 70145 Maula's Ice Mammoth Tusk Flipper (2014).

Character Background

Eris is the primary female protagonist of the Chima series, belonging to the Eagle Tribe. She is a strategist, air warrior, and close friend to Laval of the Lion Tribe.

Design Notes

Utilizes the specialized Eagle Tribe head mold. The transition from White to Bright Light Blue represented the tribe's shift during the ice-themed conflict in the show.

Similar Minifigures

Ewar, Equila, and Eglor from the Eagle Tribe; Laval (Fire CHI variant) from the Lion Tribe.

Collectibility

Moderate. Chima has a dedicated cult following, but values remain stable rather than skyrocketing compared to Star Wars or licensed IP.

History

Chima was LEGO's attempt to succeed Ninjago but eventually ended in 2015. Eris was one of the few characters to appear in every wave of the theme.

Interesting Facts

The 'Bright Light Blue' color was chosen specifically to represent the character's 'Ice' power-up state, distinct from her regular white feathers.

Display Suggestions

Best displayed on a translucent clear bar to simulate flight, preferably with her large 'Fire Wing' brick-built accessories attached.

Modification Potential

The torso and head are popular for 'Aarakocra' custom minifigures in Dungeons & Dragons MOCs due to the realistic bird-like aesthetics.

Overall Assessment

A solid example of LEGO's creative era for original IPs. Incomplete in the photo, but the torso and head appear to be in good condition with crisp print lines.
