Character Background

Uruk-hai (lor007), Uruk-hai with Berserker Helmet (lor019), and standard Mordor Orcs (lor011).

Collectibility

High. Lurtz is a named antagonist from a beloved license. As the LOTR theme is long retired and highly sought after by AFOLs, he is a cornerstone for any Middle-earth collection.

History

Lurtz represents a peak in LEGO's transition toward highly detailed, movie-accurate licensed figures, departing from the more generic 'Castle' fantasy style of previous years.

Interesting Facts

Despite being the main Uruk antagonist in the film, Lurtz only appears in two LEGO products ever. In the LEGO video game, he is a playable character with high strength properties.

Display Suggestions

Display alongside Boromir and Aragorn to recreate the Battle of Amon Hen. Use a light tan or forest-themed baseplate to mimic the forest of Parth Galen.

Modification Potential

The hair/ear piece is frequently used by customizers to create dark elves or other high-fantasy monsters or villains in MOCs.
