Rarity
Uncommon but highly sought after. He was only included in one retail set that was retired in 2021, and the head mold is unique to this character.
Head
Molded special head with flesh-tone complexion, large black pupil eyes (kawaii-style), and prominent jowls. It features brown hair printing on top and is a unique mold for the Sullustian species.
Torso
Red base with printing of a black flight vest featuring pocket detailing and silver hardware. Dark red vertical stripes on the jumpsuit. Back printing includes the back of the vest and harness straps. Arms are red; hands are black.
Legs
Red legs with printing of a dark brown utility belt and a diagonal leg strap (holster detail) on the right hip and thigh. No side printing.
Accessories
Usually includes a small black blaster pistol (not pictured). The figure in the image is missing its weapon.
Color Scheme
Dominant Red and Black, reflecting the Sullustian pilot's signature jumpsuit and vest seen in both the Original Trilogy and Sequel Trilogy.
Printing Details
High-quality pad printing on torso and hips. The head uses a specialized dual-molding or painted process for the large eyes. Precision on the belt and strap alignment is generally excellent.
Variants
This is the newer Sequel Trilogy version (sw1051). An earlier version (sw0651) appeared in 2015 based on Return of the Jedi, featuring a different vest and jumpsuit print.
Condition Notes
The primary concern is the rubbery texture sometimes used for molded heads which can collect dust. The black vest print on red plastic can experience 'edge-wear' or scratches over time. Check for neck cracks in the torso as red plastic of this era was occasionally prone to it.
Estimated Value
Used: $10 - $18 USD; New/Mint: $20 - $28 USD. Values fluctuate based on the popularity of pilot-themed dioramas.
Price (New)

Compatible Sets
75248 Resistance A-Wing Starfighter (2019).
Character Background
Nien Nunb is a Sullustian arms dealer and pilot who co-piloted the Millennium Falcon with Lando Calrissian during the Battle of Endor. This specific minifigure represents his appearance as a Resistance pilot in the Sequel Trilogy.
Design Notes
The head mold is exceptional, capturing the unique 'pancake-faced' anatomy of a Sullustian. The transition from the classic yellow heads to character-specific molds for aliens is perfectly represented here.
Similar Minifigures
Ten Numb (sw0556), Earlier Nien Nunb (sw0651), Rebel Pilot Tallie Lintra (sw0882), and various Sullustian rebels.
Collectibility
High. He is an essential character for Rebel/Resistance fleet collectors and is one of the more recognizable 'extra' pilots in the Star Wars universe.
History
First debuted in 2015 for the 10-year anniversary of the character's first potential appearance slot. This 2019 update refined the colors to match the darker red seen in Episode IX.
Interesting Facts
The character often speaks 'Kikuyu', a Kenyan language, in the films. In LEGO form, his large eyes are often noted by fans for being unusually cute or expressive compared to other Star Wars aliens.
Display Suggestions
Best displayed inside a 75248 Resistance A-Wing or on a stand alongside Lando Calrissian and Admiral Ackbar to represent the high command of the Rebellion/Resistance.
Modification Potential
The head can be swapped onto a classic tan flight suit to create his Return of the Jedi appearance using the updated head mold. Black hands allow for easy swapping with various gloved pilot torsos.
Overall Assessment
A fantastic minifigure that captures a fan-favorite character with high accuracy. Rated 9/10 for design and essentiality for Star Wars collectors.
