Character Background

Antimatter is the primary antagonist of the second wave of the Ultra Agents theme. He is a former agent (traditionally identified as Solomon Blaze's former mentor or partner in lore) who was corrupted by a portal, gaining the ability to turn others into his 'shadow' minions.

Design Notes

The aesthetic is clearly inspired by 'Negative' versions of comic book characters. The use of a clear head with internal printing highlights the 'hollow' or 'energy-based' nature of the character.

Similar Minifigures

Terabyte (uagt002), Toxikita (uagt009), or various translucent figures from themes like Ninjago (Ghost-villains) or Hidden Side.

Collectibility

High for fans of underrated LEGO original IPs. Ultra Agents has a dedicated cult following due to its high-quality minifigure designs and futuristic 'Cyberpunk' feel.

History

Released during the transition era where LEGO was experimenting with app-integrated sets. Antimatter remains one of the most visually striking original villains LEGO has ever designed.

Interesting Facts

Antimatter's design was specifically created to look like a photographic negative. In the Ultra Agents app, he served as the final boss of the interactive comic books.

Display Suggestions

Display on a black or trans-purple baseplate to make the white armor 'pop.' He looks best when surrounded by his 'Agent' adversaries or in a laboratory/high-tech prison MOC.

Modification Potential

The head and energy tendril are highly sought after by MOC builders for creating custom Marvel (Anti-Venom) or Star Wars (Force Ghosts) characters.

Overall Assessment

9/10. An exceptional minifigure with a unique color palette and high-quality accessories. It remains a standout of the 2015 era and a must-have for fans of sci-fi LEGO themes.
