Collectible Minifigures
Year Released
2018. Released to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the LEGO minifigure.
Rarity
Uncommon. While part of a blind bag series, he was produced in standard quantities (3 per full box of 60), unlike the 'chase' Classic Policeman in the same wave.
Head
Yellow head with a joyful, open-mouthed expression showing teeth and a tongue. Hair is a black, swept-back mold with a hole at the top to accommodate the party hat accessory.
Torso
Bright light blue suit jacket with a lavender/pink confetti print. Includes a medium blue lapel and a gold/bronze bowtie over a white shirt. Yellow hands.
Legs
The figure technically uses standard legs (hidden), but the defining feature is the white cake costume piece (mould 35661) that fits between the torso and legs.
Accessories
Includes a small lavender party hat that attaches to the hair piece and a white cake costume with pink icing and printed blue ribbons/bows.
Color Scheme
A festive palette of Bright Light Blue, Lavender, Pink, and White, designed to look like a birthday celebration protagonist.
Printing Details
High-quality pad printing on the torso (front and back) including confetti. The cake accessory features wraparound printing of blue ribbons and bows.
Variants
No official LEGO variants of col314 exist, though he is part of a duo often paired with the Series 18 Birthday Party Girl (col315).
Condition Notes
The most common wear point is the printing on the cake accessory, which can scratch. The small party hat is easily lost and prone to stress marks on the pin.
Estimated Value
Used Complete: $4 - $6 USD; New/Sealed: $8 - $12 USD. Prices are stable due to high supply.

Retail price was $3.99 USD in 2018 as part of the Collectible Minifigures blind bag line.

Character Background
Created specifically for the 40th Anniversary 'Party' series, representing a character popping out of a cake at a surprise celebration.
Design Notes
Introduced the unique 'cake costume' mold, which allows the figure to stand inside a two-tiered dessert while remaining a standard minifigure height.
Similar Minifigures
Series 18 Birthday Party Girl (col315), Series 23 Popcorn Guy (col403), Series 25 Mushroom Sprite.
Collectibility
High for CMF completionists. It is a whimsical 'food-suit' style character which remains a highly popular sub-niche for collectors.
History
Part of the landmark Series 18, which focused entirely on costumed characters to mark four decades of minifigure history.
Interesting Facts
The confetti pattern on his torso is randomized in the artwork but identical on all produced physical figures. He is one of the few figures where the accessory is larger than the figure itself.
Display Suggestions
Display alongside other Series 18 party-goers or within a modular building bakery/restaurant scene to create a 'surprise party' vignette.
Modification Potential
The cake piece is highly sought after by MOC builders for creating giant wedding cakes or festive town square decorations.
Overall Assessment
A joyful and technically impressive minifigure. The unique cake mold makes it a standout piece for any collection at an affordable price point.
