Theme
Monster Fighters
Year Released
2012. Debuted in the high-end sets for the launch of the Monster Fighters theme, a time when LEGO was moving toward more detailed, story-driven internal themes.
Rarity
Uncommon to Rare. While she appeared in a mass-release set, the set was the most expensive in the wave (Haunted House), and later in a smaller carriage set. Demand remains high due to the cult following of the theme.
Head
White skin tone with dual-sided printing: one side features a devious smirk and pink eye shadow; the other (shown) features a fanged snarl. Includes a long, wavy black hairpiece.
Torso
Red torso with elaborate corset/dress printing. Features a dark red necklace with a ruby pendant and white filigree patterns at the bottom. The back of the torso includes continue dress detailing. Red arms and hands.
Legs
In the original set, she uses a 2x2x2 red slope brick with dress printing on the front to represent a gown. Short/standard legs were not used for this version.
Accessories
Typically carries a red crystal or a vial of potion, and in some sets, a fan or a golden goblet. This specific image is missing her dress slope and hand accessories.
Color Scheme
Dominant red and white (skin), with black hair and gold/silver filigree accents on the dress. The palette evokes a classic Victorian gothic horror aesthetic.
Printing Details
High-quality pad printing on the head and torso. The white filigree on the red torso is particularly fine, showcasing the advanced printing tech of the 2010s to ensure the white pops against the dark red.
Variants
The 'Vampire Queen' is distinct from the Series 2 CMF Vampire Bat or the older Studios vampires. There are no major production variants, though her face has been reused for other characters.
Condition Notes
The white head print is prone to marks or scratches (as seen slightly in the image). Red torsos of this era are durable, but the hairpiece is made of a slightly rubberized plastic that can attract dust and hair.
Estimated Value
Complete figure: $15-$25. Torso and head only (as pictured): $8-$12. Price varies based on the presence of the rarer printed dress slope.
Price (New)
Appeared in Set 10228 (Retail $179.99) and Set 9462 (Retail $11.99). The Haunted House set significantly drives the collectors market value.
Compatible Sets
9462 The Mummy, 10228 Haunted House, 850487 Halloween Accessory Set.
Character Background
Lord Vampyre's bride and co-antagonist in the Monster Fighters universe. She aids her husband in his quest to collect the Moonstones to eclipse the sun forever.
Design Notes
Notable for the use of the 65deg 2x2x2 slope for a dress rather than legs, a common technique for female characters in the early 2010s before the dedicated 'skirt' mold was perfected.
Similar Minifigures
Lord Vampyre (mof002), Vampire CMF Series 2 (col018), and the more recent Series 8 Vampire Bat (col116).
Collectibility
Highly collectible. Monster Fighters has a massive secondary market following. As one of the few female antagonists in the line, she is essential for theme completion.
History
Follows the lineage of LEGO vampires starting with Count Batlord from Fright Knights (1997), representing the peak of the character design before the theme was retired.
Interesting Facts
Her face print was later reused for the character 'Lumia' in the Elves theme, though with a different skin tone and context. She is one of the few characters designed specifically to look 'undead' white.
Display Suggestions
Ideal for display in a Gothic MOC or the 10228 Haunted House. Use purple or green uplighting to enhance the 'monstrous' aesthetic.
Modification Potential
The head and hair are excellent for Victorian-era customs or other supernatural MOCs. The torso works well for regal or ballroom-themed figures.
Overall Assessment
An iconic figure from a beloved short-lived theme. While the figure in the photo is incomplete (missing the dress slope), the torso and head represent some of LEGO's best original IP character design. Rating: 8/10.
