Figure ID

Theme

Ninjago

Year Released

2015 - Released as part of the 'Tournament of Elements' wave

Rarity

Uncommon to Rare. While not a limited convention exclusive, he was only available in one specific set for a limited production window, making him highly sought after by Ninjago completionists.

Head

Unique elongated 'Anacondrai' head/neck piece molded in white. It features purple tribal scale printing on the top and back, red eyes, and a blue 'orb' or jewel printed on the forehead. The neck is integrated into the head mold which sits over the torso.

Torso

White torso with purple arms and white hands. Printing features a purple and dark red Anacondrai-style robe design with a gold buckle and black belt details. Matching tribal patterns are visible on the front.

Legs

Substitute for standard legs is a white Serpentine tail piece (Part 98124). It features intricate purple tribal scale printing down the center to match the head and torso ornamentation.

Accessories

Includes an Anacondrai Blade (gold hilt with translucent dark pink/purple jagged blade). The figure in the image is holding this signature weapon.

Color Scheme

Primary white with deep purple tribal patterns and metallic gold accents. This 'bleached' white appearance represents his form after being partially digested by the Great Devourer.

Printing Details

High-quality pad printing. The patterns are consistent across the oversized head piece and the lower tail piece, which was technically challenging to align during manufacturing.

Variants

This is the 'White' or 'Bleached' variant. He originally appeared in purple (njo041) in 2012 and later in a 'Legacy' version (njo543) in 2019.

Condition Notes

Susceptible to yellowing if exposed to UV light due to the white plastic. Common wear points include the 'chin' area of the snake head rubbing against the torso and friction wear on the tail base.

Estimated Value

Current market value for a used complete figure ranges from $25.00 to $40.00 USD. New/Mint condition can exceed $50.00 USD.

Price (New)

He was exclusive to set 70750 'Ninja DB X' which originally retailed for $79.99 USD in 2015.

Character Background

Pythor is the last surviving member of the Anacondrai tribe. Originally purple, he turned white after being swallowed by the Great Devourer and surviving. He is one of the most iconic recurring villains in the Ninjago series.

Design Notes

Uses a specialized Serpentine head mold which is much taller than a standard minifigure. This design allows for a more threatening, snake-like silhouette that towers over the protagonists.

Similar Minifigures

Pythor (njo041 - Purple), Arcturus (njo130), General Kozu (njo073), and other Serpentine generals like Skales or Fangtom.

Collectibility

High. Villains from early Ninjago seasons, especially unique molds like the Anacondrai, maintain strong value and demand among long-term collectors.

History

Pythor was the primary antagonist of Season 1. This 2015 version reflects his design in Season 4 (Tournament of Elements) where he attempts to help the ninjas against Chen's army.

Interesting Facts

Despite his villainous nature, this white version represents Pythor during a period where he acted as an anti-hero. The blue dot on his head is a reference to the 'Anacondrai' shrinking pill.

Display Suggestions

Display alongside other Serpentine Generals or atop the Ninja DB X set. Use a transparent stand to elevate him, as his tail piece can sometimes appear shorter than standard legs when placed flat.

Modification Potential

The head and tail are often used by MOC (My Own Creation) builders to create custom mythical creatures or Naga-style fantasy figurines.

Overall Assessment

A standout figure of the 2015 Ninjago line. The white and purple contrast is striking and the unique mold makes it an essential piece for any Ninjago collection. Rating: 9/10 for design and character significance.
