Character Background
A high-ranking Imperial officer of the Chiss species known for his tactical genius and appreciation for art. He was the main antagonist of the Star Wars Rebels animated series and has since appeared in the live-action Ahsoka series.
Design Notes
LEGO accurately captured his stern expression and the distinct Chiss features. This was a highly anticipated figure because Thrawn was a fan-favorite 'Legends' character brought back into official canon.
Similar Minifigures
Imperial Officers (sw0582), Admiral Yularen (sw0633), or Governor Tarkin (sw0741).
Collectibility
Extremely High. It is a centerpiece for Star Wars Rebels collectors and Imperial army builders. Value has consistently trended upward since the character's re-emergence in live-action media.
History
First and only release in 2017. It marked a milestone as one of the most requested characters from the expanded universe to be immortalized in plastic.
Interesting Facts
Despite his massive popularity, LEGO has never re-released this figure in subsequent waves, making the 2017 version an 'accidental' high-value investment.
Display Suggestions
Display alongside Ezra Bridger and Hera Syndulla to recreate Rebels scenes, or inside a UCS Imperial Star Destroyer. Keep away from direct sunlight to preserve the white plastic.
Modification Potential
Some collectors swap the hair for more textured dark blue variants, but most keep it original due to the high resale value. Ideal for Grand Admiral office MOCs.
Overall Assessment
A 10/10 collector's item. Its exclusive nature, iconic character status, and clean design make it one of the most desirable Star Wars minifigures from the late 2010s.
