Head
Unique molded rubber-style head piece in Lavender. Features the iconic four tentacles covering the mouth area and menacing orange eyes with black pupils. It is a single-piece mold that replaces both the standard head and hair/helmet.
Torso
Black torso with intricate printing of silver/gray armor plates and purple magical energy or robes. Includes silver-printed pauldrons on the front and back. The arms are black with lavender hands to match the head piece skin tone.
Legs
Black dress/robe piece (2x2x2 sloped element) featuring silver vertical line printing to simulate robe folds. This part is used to represent the floating or long-robed nature of the lllithid.
Accessories
Includes an Intellect Devourer (a pink brain-like creature on four legs) and a silver/gray wizard-style staff. In the image provided, only the Intellect Devourer is visible next to the figure.

Condition Notes
The soft plastic used for the head can attract dust and lint more easily than standard ABS. The robe piece is solid plastic and very durable, though the bottom edge is prone to scratching if moved across rough surfaces.

Character Background
Mind Flayers, or Illithids, are iconic psionic monsters from Dungeons & Dragons. They inhabit the Underdark and feed on the brains of sentient beings to survive and propagate their species.
Design Notes
LEGO opted for a specialized head mold rather than a standard head with a mask. This maintains the sleek, alien proportions necessary for the character. The Intellect Devourer is a brand new mold unique to this set.
Similar Minifigures
Alien Villain (CMF Series 13), Squidman (Space Police 3), and various Star Wars Quarren figures share some cephalopod-like features.
Collectibility
High. Anything D&D related has massive crossover appeal between LEGO fans and Tabletop gamers. It is likely to appreciate steadily once the series is retired.
History
