Year Released

Released in 2015. This was the premiere of the refined 'Snake' mold system and coincided with the Season 4 tie-in sets during a period when Ninjago was evolving its character design complexity.

Rarity

Uncommon to Rare. While he appeared in a moderately priced set, this specific 'small white' version of Pythor is highly sought after by collectors due to the character's status as the series' primary antagonist.

Head

Features an elongated white Serpentine head mold with purple tribal facial markings, a blue jewel printed on the forehead, and red eyes. The mold combines the head and neck into a single specialized piece.

Torso

White torso with purple Serpentine scale printing, a gold and red belt, and black detailing. The arms are white with purple hands, unique to this version of the character.

Legs

N/A (Specialized Serpentine tail). He features a curved white snake tail piece with purple tribal printing on the front. The tail includes a flat base for standing and a curled tip.

Accessories

This figure includes a Pearl Copper snake neck piece (Epaulettes) that fits over the neck post. In the original set (70750), he did not carry a traditional handheld weapon, though he is often displayed with a staff or the Anacondrai Blade.

Color Scheme

Primary white with vibrant purple accents. Features secondary colors of gold, red, and pearl copper. This represents his 'diminished' or 'bleached' form after being swallowed by the Great Devourer.

Printing Details

High-quality pad printing on the head, torso, and front of the tail piece. The alignment is complex due to the tribal patterns needing to transition across the curved surfaces of the specialized molds.

Variants

There are three primary versions: the original purple and black (njo041), this white version (njo147), and a Legacy version (njo708) with slightly different printing details.

Condition Notes

The white plastic is prone to yellowing if exposed to UV light. The purple printing on the tail can experience minor scratches at the contact points. Check the neck post for stress marks where the head piece attaches.

Estimated Value

$35.00 - $65.00 USD for a used complete figure. New/Sealed in box context prices vary depending on the set condition, but the figure alone is the primary driver of the set's current secondary market value.

Price (New)

Originally included in set 70750 Ninja DB X, which retailed for approximately $79.99 USD in 2015.

Compatible Sets

70750 Ninjago: Ninja DB X (2015).

Character Background

Leader of the Anacondrai tribe and the primary antagonist of Season 1. After being swallowed by the Great Devourer, he survived but his skin was bleached white. He returned as a mysterious ally/adversary in the Tournament of Elements.

Design Notes

Uses a rubberized material for the head to allow for 'fanging' and texture, contrasting with the hard ABS plastic of the torso and tail. The design successfully conveys his shrunken, altered state compared to the larger 2012 version.

Similar Minifigures

Pythor (njo041), General Arcturus, Kapau, Chope, and other Anacondrai-themed Serpentine from the 2015 wave.

Collectibility

Extremely high. Pythor is a 'Legacy' villain, and the white version is a nostalgic favorite for fans of the show's middle seasons. Values have trended upwards as Ninjago collectors seek to complete their villain galleries.

History

Pythor debuted in 2012 as a height-adjusted figure with a classic long tail. This 2015 version reinvented the character's scale and color, marking a significant shift in how LEGO handled non-humanoid scale for recurring characters.

Interesting Facts

Despite being a 'villain,' Pythor is one of the few characters to have helped the Ninja on multiple occasions. This figure is one of the few Serpentine to ever use purple hands.

Display Suggestions

Display alongside the purple version (njo041) to show the character's transformation. Looks excellent on a black or gray display stand to make the white plastic and purple printing pop.

Modification Potential

The tail piece is popular in the MOC community for creating custom Nagas or other snake-like monsters. The head piece is also frequently used for custom Anacondrai warriors.

Overall Assessment

A standout Ninjago minifigure. Its unique mold and striking color palette make it an essential piece for any serious Ninjago collection. Rating: 9/10 for design and character significance.
