Year Released
2019 - Released as part of the 75977 Junkrat & Roadhog set during the peak of LEGO's partnership with Blizzard Entertainment.
Rarity
Rare. This is a "BigFig" rather than a standard minifigure. He was only available in one specific, mid-range set which is now retired. As Overwatch sets are discontinued and the license is currently dormant at LEGO, finding him in good condition is increasingly difficult.
Head
The head is a unique mold. It features his signature pig-themed gas mask in black with white 'X' eye markings and white tusks. It includes a white mohawk hairpiece that is integrated into the mold.
Torso
The torso is an oversized 'BigFig' mold in light flesh tone. It features highly detailed printing of his chest harness with utility pouches and badges. The center-point is his iconic 'Wild Hog Power' engine-style stomach tattoo with orange flame decals.
Legs
Integrated BigFig legs molded in sand blue to represent denim pants. Details include black boots, a skull emblem on the right knee, and a belt buckle with a license plate design that reads 'ROADR8GE'.
Accessories
In the official set, he comes with his 'Scrap Gun' and his 'Chain Hook'. The figure in the image is missing these handheld tools, but features the attached black shoulder armor with a yellow highlight on the right side.
Color Scheme
Light flesh, sand blue, and black predominate. Accents include bright yellow on the shoulder pad and vibrant orange in the stomach tattoo printing.
Printing Details
Exceptional pad printing for a BigFig. The complexity of the 'Wild Hog Power' tattoo is a highlight, featuring multi-colored layering. The small badges on the vest straps are sharp and legible even at a tiny scale.
Variants
There are no official LEGO variants of this Roadhog BigFig; he is unique to the 2019 set.
Condition Notes
Common wear points include the wrist joints (as BigFig hands can be stiff or loose) and paint rubbing on the stomach tattoo if played with heavily. The shoulder armor piece is clip-on and can cause minor stress marks on the shoulder peg over time.
Estimated Value
New (mint condition): $35-$45 USD; Used Complete: $25-$32 USD; Incomplete (missing accessories): $18-$22 USD.
Price (New)
He was part of set 75977 which retailed for $49.99 USD in 2019. The figure currently accounts for nearly 60% of the set's total resale value.
Compatible Sets
75977 Junkrat & Roadhog (2019).
Character Background
Roadhog (Mako Rutledge) is a ruthless killer from the Overwatch universe. A bodyguard for Junkrat, he is characterized by his silence and his massive size. He originates from the Australian Outback post-Omnic Crisis.
Design Notes
LEGO opted for a BigFig mold rather than a standard minifigure to represent his 7'3", 550lb frame. This was a design triumph as it allowed for the 'belly tattoo' which is a core part of his character visual identity.
Similar Minifigures
Junkrat (ow015), Reinhardt (Large Suit), and other BigFigs like Hulk (sh013) or Thanos (sh504).
Collectibility
High for Overwatch fans and BigFig completionists. Since the LEGO Overwatch line was cut short and the second wave (Overwatch 2) was cancelled, this figure remains a limited-run piece from a niche era.
History
Launched in the second and final wave of LEGO Overwatch sets. It marked one of the few times LEGO created a BigFig for a video game property outside of DC/Marvel hero lines.
Interesting Facts
The 'ROADR8GE' license plate on his belt is a direct reference to his character's skin and his personality in the Overwatch game lore. The stomach tattoo printing is one of the largest single-piece prints on a humanoid figure.
Display Suggestions
Best displayed alongside the Junkrat minifigure on the 'Junkertown' display stand included in set 75977. Use UV-protected cases to prevent the light-flesh plastic from yellowing.
Modification Potential
The hands are compatible with standard LEGO Technic pins and specialized weapons. Common mods involve adding real metal chains to his hook accessory for realism.
Overall Assessment
A 9/10 BigFig. The character translation from 3D model to plastic is near-perfect. For collectors of video game memorabilia, this is a centerpiece figure that holds its value well due to the retired status of the theme.
