Figure ID

Theme

Star Wars

Year Released

2020. This design debuted in the 75270 Obi-Wan's Hut set and represented a massive jump in detail compared to the 1999 and 2012 versions.

Rarity

Uncommon. While not restricted to a single set, it was only available in three specific retail sets between 2020 and 2021 before being updated again.

Head

Tan with silver 'fin' spikes on the crown and sides. Detailed printing featuring round goggle-style eyes, a breathing apparatus mask in reddish-brown, and various wrappings. The head is a unique molded piece rather than a standard minifigure head with hair/helmet.

Torso

Tan with a dark brown double cross-shoulder bandolier print. Front features intricate fabric texture lines and the 'X' shape of the pouches. Back printing includes continuation of the bandolier and robes.

Legs

Tan with printed robes that extend from the hip to the legs. Features 'ragged' hem printing at the knees and wrap detailing on the lower legs.

Accessories

Gaderffii Stick (Gaffi Stick) built from a reddish-brown 6L bar and a specialized 'meat' or claw-like connector element at the top. This is the traditional weapon of the Sand People.

Color Scheme

Primary: Tan. Accents: Reddish Brown (bandolier/weapon), Silver (goggles/spikes), Medium Meat/Dark Orange (mask area).

Printing Details

High-quality pad printing on the head mold, torso (front and back), and legs (front). The alignment on the 'loincloth' portion of the leg printing is a common spot to check for precision.

Variants

This is sw1074 (standard head fins). It differs from sw0620 (2015 version) which had less leg detail, and the newer 2022 versions that occasionally vary in flesh tones or robes.

Condition Notes

The silver 'spikes' on the head mold are the most common wear point; the paint can rub off with play. Check for 'neck cracks' on the tan torso and ensure the Gaffi stick components haven't been swapped for darker brown or black variants.

Estimated Value

Used: $4.00–$6.00 USD. New: $7.00–$9.00 USD. Bulk value: $3.00. Prices are currently stable due to high availability in the secondary market.

Price (New)

Available in sets ranging from $29.99 (Obi-Wan's Hut) to $99.99 (Trouble on Tatooine). In the CMF-style context, its value is roughly 15-20% of its original smallest set price.

Compatible Sets

75270 Obi-Wan's Hut (2020), 75265 T-16 Skyhopper vs Bantha Microfighters (2020), and 75299 Trouble on Tatooine (2021).

Character Background

Tusken Raiders, also known as Sand People, are nomadic tribes indigenous to Tatooine. They are known for their territorial aggression and were first seen in 'Star Wars: A New Hope' and later humanized in 'The Mandalorian'.

Design Notes

The 2020 redesign introduced the 'finned' head mold which added significant 3D texture compared to the flat-topped 1999 version. It utilizes 'Tan' rather than the older 'Sand Yellow' for better visual consistency with newer sets.

Similar Minifigures

sw0052 (Classic 1999 version), sw0620 (2015 version), and various Jawa minifigures (sw0896) for Tatooine-themed displays.

Collectibility

High for army builders but low individual scarcity. Collectors often seek these in groups of 5-10 for 'tribe' displays. Its value is unlikely to skyrocket but will remain a staple of Star Wars collecting.

History

First appearing in the very first wave of LEGO Star Wars in 1999, the Tusken Raider has seen four major design overhauls. This 2020 version (sw1074) is considered the 'modern standard' for the character.

Interesting Facts

The Gaffi stick design has changed over 5 times in LEGO history; this version uses a more 'part-efficient' build compared to the early 2000s versions that used circular technician connectors.

Display Suggestions

Best displayed on a tan/sand-colored baseplate alongside a Bantha or inside a Tatooine hut vignette. Looks excellent when paired with the 2021 Mandalorian (Beskar armor) figure.

Modification Potential

Excellent for army building. Hooded capes can be added for a 'Mandalorian Season 2' look, or the headpiece can be used on different colored robes for tribal variety.

Overall Assessment

9/10 for accuracy and design. While not rare, it is one of the most screen-accurate representations of a secondary Star Wars character LEGO has ever produced. A 'must-have' for any Tatooine diorama.
