Year Released
2024 (January) - Released during LEGO's shift to blind cardboard box packaging for CMF series.
Rarity
Common to Uncommon. While mass-produced in early 2024, the Elf Bard is highly sought after by fantasy builders, making it harder to find in the 'wild' than other figures in the series.
Head
Double-sided yellow head. One side features a confident, closed-mouth smirk; the other features an open-mouthed 'singing' or happy expression. The hair piece is a white textured wig with integrated Tan pointed Elf ears.
Torso
Bright Light Blue vest over a white shirt. Features gold filigree 'nature' embroidery printing and a brown belt with a gold buckle. Back printing continues the vest detailing. White arms with Magenta/Bright Pink hands representing cuffs or gloves.
Legs
Dual-molded Orange and Brown legs with detailed printing. Includes a printed brown pouch on the hip and a 'v' shaped boot line at the mid-calf. Front and side printing are high-detail.
Accessories
Includes a unique Dark Red Lute with gold scrollwork printing, a tan neck, and black strings; a Magenta scarf (neck bracket); a dual-tone Dark Green and Gold fabric cape; and a standard black 3x4 CMF display stand.
Color Scheme
Highly vibrant fantasy palette: Teal/Bright Light Blue, Magenta, Orange, and Gold. This vivid combo is classic for the 'Brave and Bold' Bard archetype.
Printing Details
Premium CMF-level quality. Higher resolution than standard City figures. Notable for the intricate gold filigree on the torso and the complex strings/scrollwork on the Lute accessory.
Variants
No official LEGO variants exist of this specific figure, though it shares the same ear/hair mold (in different colors) with previous Elf figures.
Condition Notes
The Lute's neck is a thin plastic point—watch for stress marks. The fabric cape is prone to fraying if handled frequently. Ensure the magenta scarf doesn't put too much pressure on the neck-to-torso clutch.
Estimated Value
New (complete with box/leaflet): $5.00 - $8.00 USD; Used (complete): $4.00 - $6.00 USD. Value is currently stable due to high volume in the secondary market.
Price (New)
$4.99 USD (MSRP per blind box).
Compatible Sets
71045 LEGO Minifigures Series 25 (Individual blind box and 6-pack variants).
Character Background
The character represents a classic Dungeons & Dragons style Elf Bard—a nomadic performer and magic user. It is a 'nod' to the growing popularity of Tabletop RPGs (TTRPGs) within the LEGO fan community.
Design Notes
The Lute is a standout new mold for 2024. The dual-molded legs combined with high-resolution printing represent the peak of modern CMF design capabilities.
Similar Minifigures
Series 17 Elf Maiden (col294), Series 3 Elf (col035), and the Dungeons & Dragons CMF Series characters.
Collectibility
High. While not worth a fortune, it is a 'must-have' for Castle/Fantasy collectors and those building MOC (My Own Creation) medieval taverns or forests.
History
Part of the first major CMF release of 2024. This figure represents LEGO's trend of including high-fantasy archetypes to appeal to the adult fan of LEGO (AFOL) and D&D demographics.
Interesting Facts
This minifigure was one of the most scanned figures during the 'Series 25 QR code' era, where fans used apps to identify the contents of the blind boxes through the barcode on the bottom.
Display Suggestions
Best displayed in a Medieval Tavern MOC or alongside the 10332 Medieval Town Square. Use warm yellow lighting to make the gold printing pop.
Modification Potential
Excellent. The head and hair/ear combo are popular for creating 'Link' (Legend of Zelda) customs. The lute is a highly desired part for custom fantasy adventuring parties.
Overall Assessment
A top-tier Series 25 figure. Excellent parts-per-cent value and a beautifully cohesive color palette. Five stars for fantasy enthusiasts.
