Theme
The Lord of the Rings

Rarity
Very Rare. This figure was exclusive to a single, high-priced Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) set that has long been retired.
Head
Light flesh tone with a unique print featuring dark tan heavy eye bags, thin eyebrows, and a frowning, sunken mouth to signify his sickly appearance.
Torso
Black torso with a printed pattern of silver/grey ornate embroidery running down the center, representing his Rohan-style scholarly robes; black arms and light flesh hands.
Legs
Black slanted dress/robe piece (2x2x2 slope) which is unprinted; in the provided image, the figure is displayed using a custom long fabric sash over the torso.
Accessories
Conventionally includes a black 1x2 tile representing a letter/envelope; however, the standout 'accessory' in this image is the custom extra-long printed fabric robe/cape designed to mimic the character's floor-dragging garments.
Color Scheme
Primary Black with Light Flesh accents and Metallic Silver/Grey printing detail.
Printing Details
High-quality pad printing on the torso front and back; the head features specific character-accurate detailing around the eyes to convey a 'slimy' personality.
Variants
There are no official variants of Grima Wormtongue; he has only ever been released in this single version.
Condition Notes
Watch for fraying on the custom fabric used in this photo; on the official figure, common wear includes neck cracks on the torso and light scratches on the black slope piece.
Estimated Value
Used: $70 - $90 USD; New (taken from sealed set): $100+ USD. The value has appreciated significantly since the line was discontinued.
Price (New)
Set 10237 (Tower of Orthanc) retailed for $199.99 USD in 2013.
Compatible Sets
10237 Saruman's Tower of Orthanc.
Character Background
The secondary antagonist of The Two Towers, Grima Wormtongue served as the manipulator of King Théoden under the orders of the wizard Saruman.
Design Notes
The use of the dress/slope piece was a stylistic choice to represent the long, restrictive robes worn by the character in the Peter Jackson films.
Similar Minifigures
Saruman (lor039), King Théoden (lor020), and Mouth of Sauron (lor064) due to the similar gloomy aesthetic and robe pieces.
Collectibility
Extremely High. As a name-brand character exclusive to a 'Ultimate Collector Series' style set, he is a cornerstone for LOTR completionists.
History
Grima was released during the second wave of the LEGO Lord of the Rings theme which focused heavily on 'The Two Towers' and 'The Return of the King'.
Interesting Facts
Despite being a major character, he never appeared in smaller, more affordable play sets, making him one of the more 'expensive' individual characters to acquire.
Display Suggestions
Display alongside Saruman on the steps of the Tower of Orthanc or near a King Théoden figure to recreate the 'poisoning of Rohan' scene.
Modification Potential
The image shows a custom fabric modification which adds a more cinematic 'floor-length' textile effect not found in the original plastic-heavy release.
Overall Assessment
An essential, high-value minifigure with excellent character-specific head printing that perfectly captures the actor Brad Dourif's likeness.
