Theme

Year Released

2020. This minifigure debuted in set 75280 as part of the highly anticipated 501st Legion Clone Troopers set, which was released following an massive online fan campaign.

Rarity

Uncommon. While mass-produced in a popular set, it remains highly sought after for army building. Demand often outstrips supply despite the volume produced.

Head

Standard 'Nougat' flesh-toned clone head with a determined expression, black eyebrows, and angry eyes. The head is covered by a Phase 2 helmet featuring blue 501st markings and the updated 2020 printing style with three distinct blue lines on the cheek area.

Torso

White torso with distinct 501st Legion blue markings, detailed utility belt, and chest plate scuffing. It features blue arms with black hands. The back features full armor plating and thermal detonator printing.

Legs

White legs with blue and grey printing on the knees and hips to represent the 501st Legion armor. The printing is limited to the front of the legs/toes; there is no side printing.

Accessories

Usually comes with a standard black DC-15S blaster carbine or a long DC-15A blaster rifle. The image shows the blue-fin 'Sun Visor' or rangefinder attachments on one of the helmets.

Color Scheme

A crisp white base with vibrant 'Royal Blue' markings and black/dark grey mechanical details. The flesh-toned head provides a human element beneath the mask.

Printing Details

High-quality pad printing. Notable for the 'three-line' cheek design on the helmet which distinguishes it from earlier 2013-era 501st troopers. The torso and legs feature sharp alignment.

Variants

The sw1094 is the standard 2020 version. It differs from the older sw0445 (2013) which had different helmet geometry and printing. A newer 2023 version (sw1245) exists with helmet holes for accessories.

Condition Notes

Watch for 'arm cracks' on the torso sides and heel cracks on the back of the legs. The blue printing on the knees is susceptible to rubbing wear if played with frequently.

Estimated Value

Used: $5.00 - $8.00 USD; New: $9.00 - $12.00 USD. Prices fluctuate based on the volume of listing on markets like BrickLink.

Price (New)

Included in set 75280 which retailed for $29.99 USD. The set contained four of these troopers, placing the individual retail-equivalent value at roughly $7.50 at launch.

Compatible Sets

75280 501st Legion Clone Troopers, 75345 501st Clone Troopers Battle Pack (newer variant), 912282 Star Wars Magazine Foil Pack.

Character Background

Soldiers of the 501st Legion, led by Captain Rex and Anakin Skywalker. Known for their bravery in the Clone Wars and later their tragic role in Order 66 as 'Vader's Fist'.

Design Notes

The 2020 design move toward a 'semi-realistic' style, blending aesthetics from the live-action films and the animated Clone Wars series.

Similar Minifigures

sw0445 (2013 501st Clone), sw1245 (501st Specialist), sw1170 (501st Pilot), sw1093 (501st Jet Trooper).

Collectibility

High. Clone Troopers are the most 'army-built' figures in LEGO history. The 501st variant is specifically iconic due to its screen time in movies and TV shows.

History

First introduced in 2013, the 2020 redesign (shown) signaled a new era of 'Battle Pack' quality, moving away from the 'Clone Wars' stylized eyes to realistic flesh tones.

Interesting Facts

The set this figure came in was produced specifically because of a single Instagram user (MandRproductions) and a fan-driven hashtag #WeWant501stBattlePack.

Display Suggestions

Best displayed in large ranks on a grey MOC baseplate. Looks excellent alongside an Anakin Skywalker or Captain Rex (sw1315) figure.

Modification Potential

Highly modular. Fans often add custom cloth waist capes (kamas) or shoulder pauldrons from third-party sellers like Cape Cantina or Clone Army Customs.

Overall Assessment

An essential troop-builder for any Star Wars collector. The printing is sharp, the color pop is excellent, and it represents a significant moment in LEGO fan-influence history.
