Lasha

Figure ID

njo050

Theme

Ninjago

Year Released

2012 (First release)

Rarity

Uncommon. While not a limited promotional item, this figure appeared in only two specific sets and represents the early 'Golden Age' of Ninjago, making it highly sought after by nostalgic collectors.

Head

Standard yellow head with detailed printing representing the Venomari tribe. Features a sinister grin, red eyes with narrow pupils, and characteristic green/brown venom markings covering the right side of the face.

Torso

Dark red torso with detailed printing of a scaled vest over a layered garment. Includes metallic silver studs on a black belt. Left arm is dark red; right arm is yellow to represent bare skin (or inconsistency in the Venomari design).

Legs

Dark purple legs with a dark red hip piece. The printing continues the scaled tunic design from the torso onto the hips, featuring a belt and loincloth pattern.

Accessories

The figure in the image is holding a white and purple serrated blade (often referred to as a bone-axe or Fang-blade variant). Originally, the figure typically came with a green Serpentine staff or a silver sword depending on the set.

Color Scheme

A unique and vibrant mix of Dark Red, Dark Purple, and Yellow. The purple accents denote his loyalty to the Venomari tribe, known for their hallucination-inducing venom.

Printing Details

High-quality pad printing typical of 2012. Includes front and back torso printing. The head printing is remarkably sharp, capturing the intricate 'scales' and facial markings that define various Serpentine characters.

Variants

This specific version (njo050) is the standard release. He appears very similarly in the Ninjago Character Encyclopedia but with slight accessory variations.

Condition Notes

Common wear points include the neck joint (cracking) and the silver paint on the belt studs which tends to rub off with play. The white headgear (hair/crest piece) is prone to discoloration if exposed to UV light.

Estimated Value

Used: $4.00 - $7.00 USD. New/Mint: $10.00 - $15.00 USD. Value is steadily increasing as the early Serpentine armies remain fan favorites for army building.

Price (New)

Originally available in Set 9444 ($34.99) and Set 9447 ($24.99). As part of a standard retail set wave, he was not sold individually.

Compatible Sets

9444 Cole's Tread Assault (2012), 9447 Lasha's Bite Cycle (2012).

Character Background

Lasha is a scout for the Venomari, one of the five Serpentine tribes. He is known for being somewhat dim-witted but fiercely loyal to Acidicus. He appeared as a recurring antagonist in the early seasons of the Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu TV show.

Design Notes

Lasha utilizes the short-crest Serpentine headgear in white. Unlike the tribe leaders who have unique molded heads, the scouts like Lasha use standard minifigure heads with elaborate printing to convey their reptilian nature.

Similar Minifigures

Spitta (njo043), Acidicus (njo067), and other Serpentine scouts from the Hypnobrai or Fangpyre tribes.

Collectibility

High. Serpentine figures are among the most collected Ninjago sub-groups. Because they are distinct 'species,' fans often try to complete the entire collection of all five tribes.

History

Debuted in the second wave of Ninjago. This era marked LEGO's transition into more complex character printing and the introduction of 'faction-based' villains that fueled the TV show's massive success.

Interesting Facts

Despite being a snake, Lasha's minifigure has standard legs rather than a tail piece, which in lore signifies his lower rank as a scout rather than a general or warrior.

Display Suggestions

Best displayed alongside other Venomari tribe members in a jungle or swamp-themed MOC. Use a transparent green 'venom' piece for his staff to make him pop.

Modification Potential

Excellent for 'purist' snake customs. The torso is highly versatile for fantasy or medieval 'lizard-man' builds due to the scale mail aesthetic.

Overall Assessment

A quintessential Ninjago villain. While not the most expensive figure in the theme, his unique purple and red color palette makes him a standout addition to any collection of 2012-era LEGO.
