Character Background
A generic prehistoric character representative of early human ancestors, designed with a classic 'humorous' LEGO aesthetic.
Design Notes
One of the first 16 figures ever released in the CMF line. The unibrow head has become iconic for 'clueless' or 'primitive' LEGO characters.
Similar Minifigures
Cave Woman (col065), Prehistoric Hunter (col139), and various Neanderthals from the LEGO Dino line.
Collectibility
High. Since it is the very first official figure in the CMF database (col001), it is a milestone piece for completionists.
History
Launched in May 2010 as part of LEGO's experimental blind-bag marketing which revolutionized the toy industry and saved the company from financial struggle.
Interesting Facts
The 'bone' in his belt is one of the few instances where a bone print is integrated directly into a torso design rather than being a separate part.
Display Suggestions
Best displayed with the Series 1 hair piece to complete the look; looks great in jungle or museum-themed dioramas.
Modification Potential
Excellent for 'Stone Age' MOCs. The unibrow head is frequently used for custom 'village idiot' or 'ogre' minifigures.
Overall Assessment
A legendary figure for its historical significance as 'Number 1.' While the printing is simple by today's standards, it is a foundational piece of LEGO history. Assessment: Buy complete for investment; the figure in the photo is only a 'parts' value figure.
