Figure ID
njo194
Theme
Ninjago
Year Released
2016
Rarity
Common to Uncommon. While he was mass-produced for the 2016 wave, he was limited to three sets within the Skybound sub-theme.
Head
Yellow head with two-sided printing: one side features a scowling expression with an eyepatch and orange stubble, and the other side (original design) is a white-faced mask with black markings. Note: The figure in the image is missing his brown headpiece/hair and the neck-bracket armor.
Torso
Dark green shirt with a reddish-brown armor vest/harness overlay. Features a white skull and crossbones emblem on a green background (Jinjago flag) on the chest. Arms are orange with dark brown hands.
Legs
Dual-colored legs. The right leg is orange with mechanical/armor plating printing; the left leg is dark brown with green and reddish-brown strap printing and a silver buckle.
Accessories
As shown, the figure is missing all official accessories. Originally came with two silver katanas and often a dark brown neck-bracket armor piece with a scabbard, and a unique dark brown flat-top hat (Jin Hat).
Color Scheme
A mix of Dark Green, Orange, Reddish Brown, and Yellow. This scheme is characteristic of Nadakhan's Sky Pirate crew.
Printing Details
High-quality pad printing. The torso features detailed buckle and strap textures. The legs have intricate asymmetrical printing to represent a 'scavenged' or mechanical look.
Variants
There is only one official version of this specific character design (njo194). However, other Sky Pirates like Bucko and Cyren share similar aesthetics.
Condition Notes
The figure in the image is missing its signature hat and armor. Typical wear points include the silver printing on the legs and neck friction. The torso is prone to side-cracking if arms are stressed.

Character Background
Doubloon was originally a thief in Ninjago who was transformed into a two-faced, silent pirate by the Djinn Nadakhan. He serves as a loyal member of the Sky Pirates crew.
Design Notes
Doubloon is notable for his 'Kabuki' style double-sided head, which represents his silence and two-faced nature. His mismatched legs represent the rag-tag nature of the pirates.
Similar Minifigures
Bucko (njo191), Clancee (njo192), Nadakhan (njo193), Flintlocke (njo195).
Collectibility
Moderate. He is a 'must-have' for completionists of the Ninjago Season 6 (Skybound) collection, but due to being a henchman, he is not a high-value investment piece.
History
Released during the peak of Ninjago's popularity in 2016. This era marked a shift toward highly detailed, asymmetrical leg and arm printing for villain characters.
Interesting Facts
The character never speaks in the TV series. His name is a pun on the 'doubloon' coin and his 'double' face.
Display Suggestions
Display alongside the Misfortune's Keep (70605) or on a Skybound-themed stand with other crew members. Needs his brown hat to look complete.
Modification Potential
Excellent. The orange and dark green parts are useful for post-apocalyptic or steampunk MOCs (My Own Creations).
Overall Assessment
Doubloon is a visually striking henchman with great color contrast. While the image shows an incomplete version, the base torso and legs remain excellent examples of 2016-era LEGO detail.
