Year Released
2015 - Debuted in the 75089 Geo-themed era but specifically found in Microfighters; this was a year of massive expansion for Star Wars LEGO ahead of The Force Awakens.
Rarity
Uncommon to Rare. While it appeared in a mass-market set, this specific Boba Fett variant with the bright green helmet and dark blue arms was quickly retired after the set's production run ended.
Head
Classic Boba Fett helmet mold in bright green with silver and sand-blue printing, T-visor in black. Underneath is the standard 'angry clone' face used for Jango and Boba in this era.
Torso
Dark blue torso and arms, reddish brown hands. Printing features bright green Mandalorian chest plates, a brown utility belt, and the iconic yellow/red Mandalorian sigil on the chest corner.
Legs
Dark blue legs with sand-blue and tan printing on the front to represent thigh armor and utility pouches. No side or back leg printing is present on this version.
Accessories
Equipped with a black stud-shooter with a translucent red stud, a black cloth cape (pauldron) around the neck, and a tan/sand-blue cloth kama (waist skirt). A silver rangefinder is attached to the helmet.
Color Scheme
A unique palette of Bright Green, Dark Blue, and Sand Blue. This is notably different from the typical Sand Green and Gray seen in the movie-accurate Empire Strikes Back versions.
Printing Details
High-quality pad printing on the torso and front of the legs. The helmet print is particularly sharp, with the silver 'V' and Mandalorian diamond cleanly aligned above the visor.
Variants
This is the 'Microfighter' variant. It differs from sw0396 (Desert Skiff) which uses sand green and gray, and sw0002 (Classic), which uses a neck-bracket jetpack rather than cloth accessories.
Condition Notes
Watch for fraying on the edges of the cloth kama and pauldron. The bright green helmet is prone to visible scratches and the silver rangefinder clip can become loose or snap if stressed.
Estimated Value
Current market value for used complete is $15 - $25 USD. New/Unassembled can reach $35 - $45 USD. Prices vary based on the crispness of the cloth elements.
Price (New)
Originally released in set 75089 Boba Fett's Slave I Microfighter which retailed for $9.99 USD in 2015, making it an extremely high-value figure for the price point.
Compatible Sets
75089 Slave I (Microfighters Series 2).
Character Background
This color scheme is a meta-nod to Boba Fett's first appearance in the 1978 Star Wars Holiday Special (animated segment) and his early Ralph McQuarrie concept art/prototype phases.
Design Notes
LEGO designers chose this 'brighter' aesthetic to fit the stylized look of the Microfighters line. It notably omits the plastic jetpack in favor of the cloth cape to allow the figure to sit in the small ship.
Similar Minifigures
sw0002 (Classic Boba), sw0396 (Empire Boba with printed legs), sw1158 (The Mandalorian Boba), and sw0631 (White Prototype Boba).
Collectibility
High. Because of its unique 'non-movie' colors, it is a favorite for Boba Fett completionists who want every color variation of the bounty hunter's armor.
History
Follows the evolution from the 2000 classic pixelated print to the high-detail modern era. This 2015 version represents the peak of 'specialized' Boba variants before the transition to the 2021 Book of Boba Fett designs.
Interesting Facts
Despite being in a Microfighter set, the cloth kama accessory is actually a fairly premium part more commonly found in larger 'Battle Packs' or specialized Clone Trooper sets.
Display Suggestions
Looks best on a vertical stand next to the 75089 Microfighter or alongside other Boba Fett variants to showcase the evolution of the suit's color palette.
Modification Potential
The dark blue arms and cloth pieces are highly sought after for Mandalorian MOCs (My Own Creations) to create custom bounty hunters or members of Death Watch.
Overall Assessment
A standout figure due to its vibrant color scheme and cloth accessories. For its original $10 entry price, it remains one of the most characterful Boba Fett figures LEGO has produced.
