Theme

Bionicle / System Minifigure

Year Released

2005 (Toa Hordika era)

Rarity

Uncommon / Incomplete. The torso itself is found in several sets from 2005, but finding the full figure with the specialized mask is harder.

Head

Missing in image. Originally featured a unique Gali Hordika translucent blue head/mask piece designed for system-scale play.

Torso

Black torso with Gali Hordika symbol and blue muscle/armor accents. Pad-printed blue circle on chest with a wave/hook motif. Plain black arms and yellow hands.

Legs

Plain black legs with black hip piece. No printing present on front or sides.

Accessories

Missing in image. Originally equipped with Toa Hordika tools and often paired with Bionicle-style web or weapon pieces.

Color Scheme

Primary Black with Dark Azure/Blue accents. Traditional yellow hands contrasting with the dark Toa aesthetics.

Printing Details

Moderate detail pad printing on the front torso only. The blue ink used is quite opaque against the black plastic. No back or leg printing.

Variants

Variations exist for all six Toa Hordika (Vakama, Nokama, Matau, Onewa, Whenua, Gali). This specific print is for Gali.

Condition Notes

The neck stud shows heavy wear and silver/metallic paint marks. The yellow hands are prone to cracking at the wrists. Torso printing is prone to scratches.

Estimated Value

The used, incomplete figure shown is worth approximately $1.00 - $3.00 USD. A complete version with the correct head and gear is worth $7.00 - $12.00.

Price (New)

Associated with sets ranging from $14.99 (Battle of Metru Nui) to $69.99 (Tower of Toa).

Compatible Sets

8758 Tower of Toa, 8759 Battle of Metru Nui, 8757 Visorak Battle Ram.

Character Background

Gali is the Toa of Water. In this Hordika form, she has been mutated by Visorak venom, becoming a half-Toa, half-beast hybrid.

Design Notes

Part of LEGO's experimental period of translating Bionicle characters into standard System-scale minifigures for playsets.

Similar Minifigures

Nokama (bionicle02), Vakama (bionicle05), and other Hordika-era system figures.

Collectibility

Moderate. Sought after primarily by Bionicle completionists who want the playset versions of the iconic heroes.

History

Bionicle playsets (2005-2007) were a polarizing but unique era where Bionicle lore met traditional LEGO brick building.

Interesting Facts

The 'yellow' hands on these Bionicle figures were an unusual design choice, as most licensed/themed figures of that era had already transitioned to flesh tones.

Display Suggestions

Best displayed in a Bionicle playset diorama. Requires a Gali Hordika mask piece (Part 53545) to be considered complete.

Modification Potential

The black torso with blue technical printing makes it popular for sci-fi or underwater MOCs (My Own Creations).

Overall Assessment

This is an incomplete Gali minifigure from the 2005 Bionicle Playset line. While the torso is in decent condition, the figure is missing its most valuable and defining component: the specialized head/mask.
