Character Background
Floyd Lawton, aka Deadshot, is one of the world's deadliest assassins in DC Comics. He is a primary member of the Suicide Squad and a frequent antagonist of Batman.
Design Notes
The design is heavily inspired by the 'New 52' comic book run rather than the movie version, evidenced by the blue and gray color palette rather than red.
Similar Minifigures
Other Suicide Squad members like Harley Quinn (sh252) and various versions of Deathstroke (sh194).
Collectibility
High. Since it is the only version of a popular DC character, it remains a staple for DC Super Heroes collectors.
History
Launched in 2016 during a wave that focused on more obscure DC villains to capitalize on the hype of the first Suicide Squad live-action film.
Interesting Facts
The smiley face buttons on his chest are a tribute to the character's appearance in the DC Comics 'Secret Six' series.
Display Suggestions
Best displayed in a Gotham City diorama or alongside other Suicide Squad members (Harley Quinn, Captain Boomerang, Katana).
Modification Potential
The torso and legs are often used by fans for custom tactical soldiers or 'Mandalorian' style mercenaries due to the realistic militaristic printing.
Overall Assessment
A standout minifigure from the 2016 DC era. It features great detail and represents a key character that has yet to be remade, making it a solid purchase for DC fans.
