Year Released
Released in 2016 as part of the set 75148 Encounter on Jakku; this was a period where LEGO was heavily focused on the first film of the sequel trilogy, utilizing high-detail printing and specialized molds like the Luggage-beast and Teedo's unique head.
Rarity
Uncommon to Rare. While the set 75148 was a retail release, Teedo remains exclusive to that single set and has never been remade, making him a targeted figure for sequel trilogy and alien species collectors.
Head
Features a unique dual-molded olive green and bright light yellow rubberized specialty head piece. It includes swirled black eye pupils, a molded mouth slit, and two sets of downward/sideways projecting horns (tusks).
Torso
Medium nougat color featuring heavily detailed flight-suit/scavenger harness printing in dark orange, grey, and black on both the front and back; arms are plain medium nougat with dark brown hands to represent gloves.
Legs
Medium nougat legs with dark orange and grey printing that continues the harness and knee-pad design from the torso; the printing is high-fidelity for its era but does not extend to the sides or back of the legs.
Accessories
Officially, the figure comes with a metallic dark grey staff (spear) and a dark tan sack; however, the figure in the image is missing these standard accessories.
Color Scheme
The palette is dominated by earth tones: Olive Green, Medium Nougat, Bright Light Yellow, and Dark Orange, designed to camouflage with the desert environment of the planet Jakku.
Printing Details
High-quality pad printing on the torso (front and back) and legs (front). The alignment is typically very consistent, showcasing the intricate web of straps and buckles necessary for a desert scavenger.
Variants
There are no official LEGO variants of this minifigure; it was produced for a single production run for one set.
Condition Notes
The soft rubber material of the head can attract dust and is prone to 'sticky' surface degradation if stored in humid environments. The torso and legs are standard ABS plastic, but check for cracks under the arms and heel wear.
Estimated Value
Used (incomplete as shown): $12.00 - $18.00 USD. Used (complete with accessories): $22.00 - $28.00 USD. New/Mint: $35.00+ USD. The price is currently appreciating due to its exclusivity.
Price (New)
The set 75148 Encounter on Jakku originally retailed for $59.99 USD in 2016. Considering it contained 4 minifigures and a large beast, the per-figure value was roughly $10 at retail.
Compatible Sets

Character Background
Teedo is a reptilian scavenger from the Jakku desert. In 'Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens', he is seen capturing the astromech droid BB-8 with a net before being confronted by Rey.
Design Notes
Teedo represents an excellent example of LEGO's willingness to create highly specialized, one-off molds for minor characters during the early Disney era. The head mold is specifically designed to sit low on the neck to realistically mimic the character's short-stiff-necked anatomy.
Similar Minifigures
Unkar's Thug (sw0654), Rey - Scavenger (sw0683), and Jawas (various) provide a similar desert-dweller aesthetic.
Collectibility
Highly collectible for 'completionist' Star Wars fans. Its status as a 'one-set wonder' ensures that it maintains a premium over figures like Rey or Finn which appear in multiple sets.
History
First appeared in the Summer 2016 wave. At this time, LEGO was transitioning to more complex 360-degree torso prints and using better-quality rubberized plastics for alien heads.
Interesting Facts
Despite his small size, Teedo is not a child; however, LEGO used standard-sized legs rather than short legs to maintain the character's proportions relative to the Luggabeast he rides in the set.
Display Suggestions
Ideally displayed alongside the LEGO Luggabeast from set 75148 or in a Jakku marketplace MOC with other scavengers. A clear acrylic case is recommended to prevent the rubber head from collecting dust.
Modification Potential
The medium nougat printed legs and torso are highly valued by MOC builders for creating custom post-apocalyptic or steampunk characters.
Overall Assessment
An 8/10 for detail and uniqueness. While not a main character, the specialized head mold and detailed scavenger printing make it a standout figure of the 2016 Star Wars line. Recommendation: Buy if you find him at $20 or less for a complete version.
