Rarity
Uncommon. While it was mass-produced in the early 2000s, the figure was only available in two sets during a specific era of Harry Potter sets. Finding one in high quality with the specialized head mold intact (ears often get chewed or scuffed) is becoming more difficult for collectors.
Head
Unique molded Light Flesh head. Features large green eyes, a long thin nose, and pointed ears. This was a custom mold specifically for Dobby and does not use the standard minifigure head shape.
Torso
Tan torso with printed ragged pillowcase/tunic. The print features black and grey fold lines and a knotted shoulder tie. It does not have back printing, which was standard for 2002.
Legs
Short, non-bending legs in Tan. These are the classic 'short legs' introduced for smaller characters like Dobby, Yoda, and children.
Accessories
Missing in the image. Originally came with a Tom Riddle's Diary (printed 2x2 tile) containing a hidden sock (1x1 tile) in set 4731, or a sock accessory in other contexts.

Printing Details

Variants
This is the original version. Subsequent versions (hp144) released in 2010 and the CMF versions (colhp04) released in 2018 have significantly more detailed printing and revised head molds.
Condition Notes
The soft plastic used for the ears is prone to bite marks or 'nicks.' The tan printing on the torso often fades or scratches over time. Check the 'neck' of the head mold for cracks, as it fits tighter than a standard head.
