Luke Skywalker (Imperial Inspection / Shuttle Tydirium)

Figure ID

Theme

Star Wars

Year Released

2015. This figure debuted in the set 75094 Imperial Shuttle Tydirium, released during a period when LEGO was significantly upgrading detail in Star Wars figures prior to the Disney trilogy launch.

Rarity

Uncommon. While not a limited promotional figure, it is exclusive to a single high-value set that has been retired for several years, making it harder to find in mint condition.

Head

Light flesh tone with blue eyes. Features a double-sided print: one side with a serious/determined expression and the other with a slight smile. The hairpiece is a Tan 'Swept Back' style (part 99930) representing his Return of the Jedi look.

Torso

Black torso with highly detailed printing of his Jedi tunic undergarments, featuring the distinct 'T' flap in the center and a Jedi belt with a silver buckle. Back printing includes continuation of the tunic and belt lines. Black arms and greyish hands.

Legs

Plain black legs with a black hip piece. No printing on the legs, which is accurate to his film appearance in the black Jedi jumpsuit.

Accessories

Includes a lightsaber with a metallic silver hilt (ridged 4L) and a Trans-Bright Green 4L blade. In the original set, he also came with a black thermal detonator and a tan camouflaged poncho with a brown satchel.

Color Scheme

Primarily black and light flesh, accented with a vivid Trans-Bright Green for the lightsaber. The black coloring represents his maturity and conflict in Return of the Jedi.

Printing Details

High-quality pad printing on the torso and head. The torso detail is particularly crisp, featuring fine lines for the fabric folds and the intricate buckle on the belt. There is no leg or arm printing.

Variants

This is the 'Imperial Inspection' or 'Endor' variant without the poncho. It differs from sw0192 (older style) and the 'Final Duel' versions which often feature a flap folded down on the chest or different hair molds.

Condition Notes

Common wear points include 'stress marks' on the torso sides if the arms are moved frequently and 'clutch power' loss in the lightsaber hilt. The black plastic shows scratches and dust easily. Check for silver paint wear on the lightsaber hilt.

Estimated Value

Used: $20.00 - $35.00 USD. New (extracted from set): $45.00+ USD. Prices vary based on whether the original poncho and bag accessories are included.

Price (New)

The set 75094 Imperial Shuttle Tydirium originally retailed for $99.99 USD in 2015, which included five minifigures.

Compatible Sets

Set 75094 - Imperial Shuttle Tydirium (2015).

Character Background

Luke Skywalker as he appears in the beginning of Return of the Jedi and during the mission to Endor. This represents his peak Jedi Knight status before the final confrontation with Darth Vader and the Emperor.

Design Notes

The 2015 version introduced a more cinematic hairpiece compared to the older 'shaggy' hair (part 3901) used in the early 2000s. The light-flesh skin tone is the standard modern update from the classic yellow.

Similar Minifigures

sw0635 (Luke with flap down), sw0830 (Luke from 75159 Death Star), sw0395 (Luke Skywalker - Desert Skiff).

Collectibility

High. Luke Skywalker is the primary protagonist of the original trilogy, and this specific 'Jedi Knight' look is one of his most iconic and sought-after designs.

History

Luke started as a yellow-skinned figure in 1999 (sw0004). By 2015, the design had evolved to include dual-sided light-flesh heads and more accurate fabric textures on the torso, as seen here.

Interesting Facts

Though this figure comes in an 'Endor' set, the black outfit is actually what he wears underneath the camo poncho during the infiltration of the forest moon; it is also the outfit he wears when surrendering to Vader.

Display Suggestions

Best displayed inside a 75094 Imperial Shuttle or in a MOC of the Endor landing platform. Use a transparent stand to mimic his athletic Jedi movements.

Modification Potential

The black torso and legs are versatile for purist customs of other Jedi or Sith characters. The head is frequently used for other young male 'hero' characters in MOCs.

Overall Assessment

An excellent, movie-accurate representation of Luke Skywalker. Its exclusivity to one of the most popular Star Wars sets of the last decade makes it a staple for any serious Star Wars collector.
