Character Background
Matt Murdock, a blind lawyer by day and vigilante by night. This version is inspired by his classic Marvel Comics appearance.
Design Notes
The mask printing cleverly uses the red head piece to create the 'horns' look without a dedicated mold, using negative space and dark red shading.
Similar Minifigures
Spider-Man (various), Punisher (sh713), Firestar (sh712), and Blade (sh715).
Collectibility
High. As a fan-favorite character with only one version available in an expensive set, he is a cornerstone for Marvel collectors.
History
Fans waited nearly a decade for an official Daredevil following the launch of the Marvel Super Heroes line in 2012; he finally debuted in the 2021 'Daily Bugle' set.
Interesting Facts
Despite being one of Marvel's most popular street-level heroes, it took 9 years for LEGO to release an official version of him.
Display Suggestions
Best displayed on the exterior of the Daily Bugle set or in a Hell's Kitchen MOC alongside Spider-Man and Punisher.
Modification Potential
Some collectors swap the plain legs for dual-molded red/dark red legs or add a custom fabric 'billy club' holster to the hip.
Overall Assessment
An excellent, comic-accurate representation of the character that holds its value well due to set exclusivity and character popularity.
