Figure ID

Theme

Star Wars

Year Released

2012. Debuted in set 9491 Geonosian Cannon. This period marked a transition from the stylized 'Clone Wars' aesthetic to more modern printing techniques.

Rarity

Uncommon. While exclusive to one specific set, that set was a relatively affordable battle-pack style set, making the figure widely circulated but currently discontinued.

Head

Standard Light Flesh head with 'Clone Wars' stylized large eyes, determined expression with black eyebrows and 'soul patch' facial hair. Helmet is a Phase 1 mold with olive green and lime markings.

Torso

White torso with Phase 1 Clone armor printing, featuring olive green chest plates, a lime green 'v' shape, and detailed utility belt. Back printing continues the armor plating and green accents.

Legs

White legs with olive green armor printing on the thighs and knees. Standard black hip joint. No side leg printing.

Accessories

Includes a Pearl Dark Gray visor attached to the helmet. Not pictured but originally included a standard black DC-15S blaster carbine.

Color Scheme

Primary white with Olive Green, Lime Green, and Black accents. The green tones represent the 41st Elite Corps camouflage/division colors.

Printing Details

High-quality pad printing on the head, helmet, torso (front and back), and legs (front). Features the distinct 'large eyes' animation style used from 2008–2014.

Variants

This is the Phase 1 version (sw0380). There is a later Phase 2 version (sw0528) with camouflage legs/torso and a more realistic face print released in 2014.

Condition Notes

The visor clips on the helmet are prone to stress marks. White plastic may yellow if exposed to UV. Check for 'heel cracks' on the back of the legs and arm cracks at the armpits.

Estimated Value

Used: $10 - $18 USD; New: $22 - $30 USD. Value is rising as Phase 1 commander collectors seek to complete their rosters.

Price (New)

Originally included in set 9491 which retailed for $19.99 USD in 2012. The figure accounted for roughly 40-50% of the set's desirability.

Compatible Sets

75043 AT-AP (featured the Phase 2 version), 9491 Geonosian Cannon (featured this specific sw0380 version).

Character Background

CC-1004, nicknamed 'Gree', was the clone commander of the 41st Elite Corps. He served under Jedi Master Luminara Unduli and later Yoda during the Battle of Kashyyyk.

Design Notes

Uses the older 'gritted teeth' animation head. The olive green color was somewhat unique to this figure at the time of release, accurately reflecting the Geonosis/Kashyyyk deployments.

Similar Minifigures

sw0528 Phase 2 Commander Gree, sw0442 Clone Trooper Sergeant (Olive Green markings), sw0298 Clone Trooper Horn Company.

Collectibility

High. Named Clone Commanders are highly liquid assets in the LEGO secondary market. Demand remains steady due to 'The Clone Wars' nostalgia.

History

First appearing in 2012, this version represents LEGO's attempt to bridge the gap between the simplistic 2008 clones and the highly detailed modern ones.

Interesting Facts

Gree is named after the 'Gree' alien race, as he was a student of alien species. This minifigure's visor is often lost, making complete versions with the visor more valuable.

Display Suggestions

Display alongside Luminara Unduli and Barriss Offee on a tan/Geonosis baseplate or in a 41st Elite Corps assembly.

Modification Potential

The helmet and torso are excellent for purist customs of other 41st Elite Corps officers. Visor can be swapped for a rangefinder for different ranks.

Overall Assessment

A solid 8/10 for collectors. It is an essential character for Clone Wars fans and remains an affordable way to own a named Commander compared to Rex or Wolffe.
