Character Background
Cragger is the main antagonist turned friend in the Legends of Chima series. He is the Prince (later King) of the Crocodile Tribe who was corrupted by the CHI but eventually redeemed.
Design Notes
Features a specialized dual-molded headpiece that fits over the standard minifigure head, defining the unique 'anthropomorphic animal' look of the Chima line.
Similar Minifigures
Crominus, Crooler, and other Crocodile Tribe members like Crowley. Shares mechanical design similarities with the Ninjago Serpentine figures.
Collectibility
Moderate. Chima has a dedicated cult following, but because Cragger was the face of the theme, he is very easy to acquire for collectors.
History
Chima was LEGO's massive 2013 big-bang theme intended to replace Ninjago (which was temporarily planned for retirement). Cragger was the central rival character.
Interesting Facts
Cragger is one of the few characters across LEGO history to have both a standard minifigure and a buildable Technic-style 'Constraction' figure released simultaneously.
Display Suggestions
Display alongside his rival Laval (the Lion). Looks best in a swamp-themed vignette or inside the 70006 Command Ship.
Modification Potential
Excellent for lizard-men or dragon-born characters in Dungeons & Dragons MOCs due to the detailed head mold and green skin tone.
Overall Assessment
The definitive version of a major LEGO character. While not financially valuable, it is a high-quality figure with excellent mold design and detailed printing.
