Ezra Bridger

Figure ID

sw0574

Theme

Star Wars

Year Released

2014 - Debuted in the initial wave of sets for the Disney XD animated series Star Wars Rebels.

Rarity

Uncommon to Rare - It was available in a mass-produced set, but because it represents the main protagonist in his original outfit and the set was retired years ago, it has become harder to find in good condition.

Head

Light flesh tone with black eyes, thin eyebrows, and a slight smirk. Features a dual-sided print with a more determined/angry expression on the back. It uses a custom black hairpiece with mid-length locks (part 15443).

Torso

Dark orange torso with an olive green/tan padded vest print. Details include silver buckles on the vest and white stitching. The back features a continuation of the vest and a small emblem. Arms are dark orange to match the jumpsuit.

Legs

Dark orange legs with dark brown hip piece. Printing includes a brown belt, pouches on the thighs, and a white circle/arc symbol on the lower right leg representing Ezra's 'cadet' graffiti or personal insignia.

Accessories

Usually includes a unique Lightsaber handle (piece 18274) which is designed to look like Ezra's custom lightsaber/blaster hybrid, and a translucent blue blade. Sometimes accompanied by a cadet helmet (blue with yellow markings).

Color Scheme

A mix of dark orange, tan/olive green, and dark brown. This vibrant scheme was characteristic of the early Rebels aesthetic compared to the muted tones of the Galactic Civil War.

Printing Details

High-quality pad printing. The leg printing is particularly notable for carrying the jumpsuit details down from the torso. Head printing captures the 'stylized' Look of the Rebels animation style.

Variants

There is a later version (sw0791) representing Ezra as a teenager with short hair and a green lightsaber. A third version exists from the 'Star Wars Rebels' Microfighter line which is very similar but lacks some leg print details.

Condition Notes

Common wear points include the silver buckles on the vest printing and the hairpiece, which can show scratches easily due to its smooth surface. Check for torso cracks on original 2014 figures.

Estimated Value

Used: $35.00 - $55.00 USD; New/Mint: $65.00+ USD. The price has seen a steady increase due to the 'Ahsoka' live-action series and nostalgia for Rebels.

Price (New)

Originally included in set 75048 (The Phantom) which retailed for $24.99 USD in 2014.

Compatible Sets

75048 (The Phantom), 75090 (Ezra's Speeder Bike).

Character Background

Ezra Bridger is a Force-sensitive orphan from Lothal who joined the crew of the Ghost. He eventually became a Jedi Padawan under Kanan Jarrus and played a pivotal role in the liberation of his home planet.

Design Notes

LEGO designers successfully translated the unique 'McQuarrie-inspired' animation style into minifigure form. The hair piece was a new mold specifically created for this character to capture his signature look.

Similar Minifigures

Kanan Jarrus (sw0575), Hera Syndulla (sw0576), Sabine Wren (sw0577).

Collectibility

High. As the main character of a beloved sub-series and with the character's re-emergence in live-action, this original version is a cornerstone of a Star Wars Rebels collection.

History

This figure marks the very beginning of the Rebels era in LEGO. It preceded the larger 'Ghost' set and served as the entry point for fans of the show in 2014.

Interesting Facts

The symbol on his leg is based on Sabine Wren's artistic influence on the crew. In early production, some fans mistakenly thought the character was related to Starkiller from The Force Unleashed due to the hair.

Display Suggestions

Display alongside the rest of the Ghost crew or inside the cockpit of set 75048 Phantom. UV protection is recommended to prevent the light flesh head from fading.

Modification Potential

Commonly modified by fans using the newer Ezra hairpiece (shorter) to represent his Season 2 or 3 appearance while keeping the Season 1 jumpsuit.

Overall Assessment

9/10. An excellent representation of the character that holds its value well. Its unique colors and specialized hairpiece make it a standout in any Star Wars minifigure collection.
