Figure ID

Theme

Star Wars

Year Released

First released in 2022. It appeared during a period when LEGO was transitioning to the '2020-style' clone trooper design language featuring blended details from both the live-action films and the Clone Wars animated series.

Rarity

Uncommon. While not a limited edition, this specific white Phase 2 variant appeared only in a small number of sets compared to grunt clones of the past, making it highly sought after for 'army building.'

Head

Standard 'Nougat' flesh-toned head with the modern 'angry clone' expression (steady eyes, furrowed brow). It is topped with a Phase 2 white Clone Trooper helmet featuring a perforated design for accessory attachments.

Torso

White torso with highly detailed black and grey pad-printing representing Phase 2 plastoid armor plates and a utility belt. The reverse side features printing of the backplate and thermal detonator. White arms with black hands.

Legs

White legs with printing on the hips and front of the legs. Details include knee guards and foot armor plating. There is no side printing or arm printing on this version.

Accessories

Includes a standard black DC-15A long blaster rifle (constructed from a long blaster base and a technician's light or scope piece). In standard sets, it sometimes comes with a smaller DC-15S blaster.

Color Scheme

Primary white armor with black undersuit detailing and light/dark grey accents for shading and mechanical depth. Clean, clinical aesthetic consistent with the Grand Army of the Republic.

Printing Details

High-quality pad printing with excellent alignment. This version features the 'hole' in the helmet on the side, a design choice introduced in 2022 to allow for visors and rangefinders, though some collectors feel it disrupts the silhouette.

Variants

This is the 2022 'Accessory Hole' variant. It differs from the sw0541 (2014) version which had much simpler printing and a helmet mold without side holes.

Condition Notes

Common wear points include 'arm cracks' (vertical stress marks on the torso sides) and heel cracks. The white plastic is susceptible to UV yellowing over time if displayed in direct sunlight.

Estimated Value

Used: $12 - $18 USD; New/Mint: $20 - $25 USD. Prices vary based on whether the blaster is included and the tightness of the joints.

Price (New)

Originally available in the 40558 Clone Trooper Accessory Pack for $14.99 USD, which included three minifigures total, making the individual value approximately $5 at retail.

Compatible Sets

75337 AT-TE Walker (2022), 40558 Clone Trooper Accessory Pack (2022).

Character Background

These are the standard infantry of the Grand Army of the Republic during the final stages of the Clone Wars. This armor design (Phase 2) directly preceded the Stormtrooper armor seen in the original trilogy.

Design Notes

This figure uses the standardized 2020 clone trooper template. Significant for being one of the first mass-produced Phase 2 'shiny' (plain) clones in nearly a decade, fulfilling a long-standing fan request.

Similar Minifigures

sw0541 (Phase 2 Plain, 2014), sw1094 (501st Legion Clone Trooper), sw1146 (Ahsoka's 332nd Company Trooper).

Collectibility

High. Because it is a generic 'grunt,' collectors often buy dozens or hundreds for MOC (My Own Creation) displays of army formations, ensuring high liquidity and stable secondary market demand.

History

Phase 2 clones were rare in the early 2000s, only appearing in 2005. They returned in 2014 with new molds and finally reached this 'standardized' form in 2022 to match the new 501st and 212th legion figures.

Interesting Facts

The 'dots' on the side of the helmet were a point of major controversy in the LEGO Star Wars fan community, as they moved the rangefinder placement higher than screen-accurate positions to accommodate the mold.

Display Suggestions

Best displayed in ranks of 4 or 9 on a grey baseplate to simulate a hangar bay scene. Looks excellent alongside the 75337 AT-TE Walker.

Modification Potential

High potential for 'purist' customization. Fans often add cloth pauldrons or waists (kamas) from third-party sellers like Cape Cantina or Clone Army Customs to turn them into officers.

Overall Assessment

A solid, essential minifigure for any Star Wars collector. While the helmet holes are a minor design compromise, the print quality and 'army building' utility make it a 9/10 for desirability.
