High-quality pad printing typical of the CMF line. Printing is present on the front of the head, torso, and legs. This figure is notable for the detail in the metallic gold accents.
Variants

Character Background
The Clockwork Robot is a charming, old-fashioned automaton. Unlike the more advanced Series 1 Robot, this version is purely mechanical, relying on a wind-up key to function, inspired by vintage tin toys.
Design Notes
Significant for the introduction of the wind-up key mold. The use of Medium Nougat was a deliberate choice to mimic the look of aged copper or brass often seen in steampunk designs.
Similar Minifigures
Robot (Series 1), Tin Man (The LEGO Movie 2), Retro Robot (Series 9), and Clockwork Man (various themes).
Collectibility
Moderate. It is a staple for CMF 'completionists' and fans of steampunk or retro-futurism. While not as expensive as the Series 1 Robot, it holds steady value due to its unique color.
History
Released in the sixth wave of the Collectible Minifigures line, which helped cement the blind-bag format as a permanent fixture in the LEGO product catalog.
Interesting Facts
This character also appears as a playable character in the 'LEGO Minifigures Online' game (now defunct) and several LEGO-themed sticker books.
Display Suggestions
Looks best in a shadow box or a city-themed MOC as a street performer or a toy shop display. Pair with other robots for a 'history of robotics' timeline.
Modification Potential
Excellent for steampunk MOCs. The torso printing is frequently used by customizers to create mechanical 'parts' or Victorian-era machinery.
Overall Assessment
A solid, well-designed figure from the 'Golden Age' of CMF. While the one in the photo is missing its key accessory, the torso and leg prints appear to be in good condition, making it a great candidate for restoration.
