Aspheera

Figure ID

njo541

Theme

Ninjago

Year Released

2019 - Released as part of the summer wave alongside the LEGO Ninjago Season 11 TV series.

Rarity

Uncommon. While she was the main antagonist of the Fire Chapter, she only appeared in two sets, one of which was the expensive Land Bounty.

Head

Unique orange snake head mold with a long neck that sits over the torso. Features black eyes, molded fangs, and dark bluish gray and sand green printing on the back/neck region.

Torso

Bright orange torso with intricate printing: silver armor plating, a sand green sash, and a Serpentine emblem. Features pearl dark gray arms and orange hands.

Legs

Bright orange legs with matching hip piece. Includes detailed printing of sand green and silver armor fragments and claw-like textures on the shins.

Accessories

The base minifigure in the image is missing her accessories. Originally, she includes the Scroll of Forbidden Spinjitzu and a long staff (Ninjago spear) with flame elements.

Color Scheme

Primary Bright Orange with Pearl Dark Gray, Sand Green, and Silver accents. This represents the 'Fire' Serpentine theme of the Pyro Whippers.

Printing Details

High-quality pad printing on the head, front and back of the torso, and the front of the legs. The alignment is complex due to the continuous pattern from the head 'neck' onto the torso.

Variants

There is a 'Spirit' or 'Ethereal' variant (njo745) released in 2022 with a trans-pink and black color scheme from the Crystalized wave.

Condition Notes

The long neck piece is subject to 'torsional stress' where it meets the torso; the printing on the protruding snake snout can rub off. Check for tightness in the neck-to-torso connection.

Estimated Value

Used: $5.00 - $8.00 USD. New/Mint: $10.00 - $14.00 USD. The figure in the image is missing accessories, lowering its value toward the lower used range.

Price (New)

Available in sets 70674 ($44.99) and 70677 ($129.99). She was not available as a standalone polybag or CMF.

Compatible Sets

70674 Fire Fang, 70677 Land Bounty.

Character Background

Aspheera is a sorceress and former leader of the Serpentine tribe known as the Pyro Vipers. Trapped for centuries, she was accidentally freed by Kai and Zane.

Design Notes

Features a specialized 'extended neck' mold that was a departure from traditional Serpentine heads (like the Constrictai or Hypnobrai), allowing for a more imposing height.

Similar Minifigures

Char (njo533), Pyro Destroyer (njo512), and Pyro Slayer (njo521). All share the same color palette and 'Fire' Serpentine aesthetic.

Collectibility

Moderate. As a primary villain, she is a 'named character' essential for Ninjago antagonist collectors, though she is not as rare as some retired 'Legacy' villains.

History

Follows the tradition of Ninjago snake villains starting with the 2012 Serpentine. Aspheera represents the 2019 evolution of more detailed, specialized molds for villain sub-factions.

Interesting Facts

The character was the first female Serpentine leader introduced in the Ninjago television series.

Display Suggestions

Display alongside 'Fire Fang' (the giant brick-built cobra) or in a confrontation scene with Forbidden Spinjitzu Kai.

Modification Potential

The head/neck piece can be used on other torsos to create tall alien creatures or custom Naga-style warriors in MOCs.

Overall Assessment

A visually striking minifigure with a unique profile. While common enough to be affordable, her unique mold makes her a standout piece of Ninjago history. Rating: 7/10.
